Overpriced
The resort itself is beautiful but we had issues with our stay and won’t be returning. The phone in our room didn’t work so we had to go 27 floors down to the front desk since they didn’t pick up the main line calling on our cell phones. The fridge in our room wasn’t cold. We had lunch by the pool and dinner at their steakhouse, both were not good. We had to leave the hotel for good food. We didn’t use any of the resort fee amenities and still were charged a hefty $45 fee per day for this. The hotel really could use an adults only pool. Every hot tub and area of the pool had kids in it. Adults in their 30s and 40s feel weird getting into a hot tub with someone else’s kids who aren’t being watched. By noon there wasn’t a pool chair with out a towel already on it and we discovered they sell resort say pass tickets so people can use their pool who aren’t staying there, this option was almost sold out on that site.

New Ownership Taking Advantage of Prime Location
Yellow rush water out of bath, stained carpets galore, black mold in shower, mattress was worse than a futon pad…where do I stop. This place is tired and wildly takes advantage of the fabulous location and legacy of the Diplomat. They’ve jacked all prices, removed all prior complimentary items/services, and are clearly not putting capital back into the resort. It’s being run to the ground with only cash flow in mind. Maximize revenue and not reinvest a dime. Bottled waters are $9 in the room and the tap water is cloudy yellow and no water offered to fill bottles on the floor. A 12oz can of beer is $12 downstairs. Great location, but man are they gouging at every turn possible. Just be aware, new ownership is being ultra aggressive to push revenue.

Beautiful, oceanfront property in Hallandale Beach. Lots of restaurants and stores nearby. Gorgeous pools and other water features. Property has multiple dining options onsite including a room service option. The King Oceanfront room with balcony is spacious and unique. It includes a shower with a separate deep, soaking tub.

Beautiful resort Asked questions about health clu and was told to scan the QR code! Waiting 49 minutes for my car from the baker one time. Very long line on sat am for coffee shop—couldn’t wait. Room was small but bed comfortable and view perfect

The hotel staff were lovely from check-in to check-out. The coffee shop, lunch spot, bars, and Prime all provided great drinks and food. The hotel was clean and quiet. It was a nice qetaway location.

Booked based on user reviews. We were looking for a premium experience at a top tier resort. I was a bit surprised at the concept of upsell and extra charge for nearly every amenity. Upon arrival, we were informed that the city municipality was going to be shutting the water off for maintenance that evening. All of the dining options had closed early in preparation of the water situation. Our whole stay we were under a boil water advisory. The hotel did provide bottled water at the front desk, free of charge. I asked the Concierge about ice. He disarmed me by asking why i would need ice. This is a family friendly resort. Expect the pool and hot tubs to be packed with children from open until close. Unfortunately, the whole resortl had been reserved by a international bank for a conference on mining. Which resulted in some further oddities. 1, the upper pool was closed on our first morning for an event management company to build a stage over the pool in for the conference. 2. The door personnel and beach access security secured the gates demanding wristbands or room keys for acces in a very militaristic fashion. Luckily, this was only in effect for about 2 hours. It happened to coincide with the international event upper crust arriving and getting a tour of the facilities. The beach was still fantastic. We managed to stay in great spirits. We enjoyed our spontaneous break from a Michigan February.
