1st impressions matter…
We arrived on a rainy Friday afternoon. Our stay prepaid. We planned to valet park, as that seemed to be the best option when researching to plan for the trip. When we arrived there was an extremely rude man with valet standing at the entrance waiving us through. My passenger rolled down his window and asked where we needed to go to park. He told to just keep moving. I said sir we need to check in and park, he said ma’am you have to keep moving. We pulled forward and my friend got out to speak to another attendant who wasn’t as rude, but said we would have to come back later. He asked “What do you mean, come back later? We need to check in, we have a show later we need to get ready…” He said “sir we are too busy right now, you have to come back later. I went and parked my car myself in the rain and went inside. The staff inside was much much friendlier and Mike the bellman helped us get our luggage and got a member of the valet team to park our car. If my trip was not prepaid I would have certainly moved on and found somewhere else to stay. At the rate they charged for valet, I definitely expected better service. We also prepaid for breakfast that was a disappointment. We went with the buffet option strictly for the omelette station, but there was no one working the station. So no omelettes for us…
