Let’s start with the good - the hotel is new and so very modern. The pool was lovely and gets sun most / all day for you to relax by. The rooms are modern albeit small but that was fine for me as a solo traveller. The staff are friendly and welcome you. The location is incredibly good - walking distance to some good hawker markets, and close by to multiple MRTs to go to the Marina Bay Area and the nature park in the north.
My main issue is that I was woken up multiple times on my second night by drilling and hammering within the hotel - 3am being the last time. I went down to the reception the next morning and they did offer to swap my room, indicating they knew it was happening. I declined as I was only staying another night and I’m not sure it would solve the issue - I’d rather they not do building works at that time. They did reassure me it wouldn’t happen again.
My room was generally clean, however there was some of previous guests belongings (a picture) in there along with long hairs on the floor by the sink. These things don’t bother me but they will for others. Also, there is functionality for a bidet hose but this was not present.
Others have issues with using the gym. I found it not to be very busy, however, with almost 1000 rooms and so up to 2000+ guests, 3 treadmills, 1 bike, 1 stepper and 1 bench for weights is not going to be sufficient when / if the hotel is full. Similarly, there were more pool seats but if full this could be an issue.
