The Douglas Hotel.
Easy check in. Friendly staff. Lovely clean and comfortable room and shower. Fantastic breakfast with very attentive staff. Easy and quick check out. City centre near all shops/restaurants and pubs.

Not even worth an overnight
We were put into room 329 to begin with it was freezing and there was a dead moth on the ceiling. The mattress was rock hard. My husband called reception to ask about the heating and was very abruptly told they control it from there he had to ask for it to be put on. After 20 mins of sitting in a cold room we had to complain to reception at first they offered us a heater, why would we need this was there an issue with the heating of the rooms hmm unsure. We were then asvised they could move us to another room which we accepted and proceeded to go pack up our belongings to then have to go back down to reception to get another key card. Breakfast was cold and not anywhere near a full Scottish breakfast very poor choice

Stayed in room 207, double and single bed. Single bed mattress was so thin and uncomfortable. The shower head also had loads of dust ontop as when i went to move shower head was all over my fingers. Location good but get people on the streets when pubs close so was noisey

Smooth. Room comfortable and tidy. Staff pleasant and ever present . Breakfast, tasty as hell, just wish my appetite was big enough to finish it. I have mobility issues so I was happy that my room (314) was easily accessible. My one ignorable complaint would be that the bath was a bit on the small side. However, I am 6'2".

Good location. No problem with room. My only comment for improvement would be the start of breakfast service being 8am had this been 6.30 am then I would give it a better rating. I would stop there again as everything else was faultless
