Since I love historical places I felt in Flamingo at home , Ocean view from e room and especially restaurants and swimming pool priceless. Service excellent, very tasty kitchen. And so quite at night ,Moon and the Ocean and the spirit of Tarzan. Me and my wife most romantic stay so far. We like to walk to the beach down the hill.

Great view & character, but sorely needing repair
Set on cliffs on the Acapulco peninsula with great ocean views. An authentic part of Hollywood history - but it's living too much on that history and is sorely in need of repair. Tired decor, cracked bathroom fittings with persistent bad smell and seldom hot water, flimsy room doors don't feel secure.

Historic, friendly, a little bit faded
Like a formerly healthy and attractive person who's getting on in years, the passing decades have worn away at the Hollywood glamor Los Flamingos could once claim. This is Old Acapulco. Everything's a little bit dated, in some cases (like sliding glass doors and bathroom faucets in the rooms) barely functional. Still, it's a beautiful place, lushly landscaped, where the staff tries hard to make you feel at home. We loved hanging out in the restaurant and bar, open to the sea breezes, where you seem to have slipped back into the 1940s when Johnny Weissmueller and the Duke were holding court. Incredible views -- the view from our room was one giant Pacific panorama -- but nothing to do in the down-and-out neighborhood, so you will have to taxi down the hill to town or to the crowded city beaches. Only a few minutes by cab to La Quebrada.

Great views.
Great stay. Fantastic views. Rooms could do with a bit of a makeover for the amount you pay. But you are paying for the view really. Clean. Helpful staff. Good location.

Three days in a time-capsule from the 50'ies
Our familiy spent three days at Los Flamingos and enjoyed it a lot - it is like going 60 years back in time to the Hollywood hey-days. The hotel has a really nice and calm atmosphere, good service and is located with a spectacular view of the ocean. However, it is not a modern hotel and not particular centrally located - if you look for modern comfort you should go somewhere else. If you look for a unique experience in Acapulco, I strongly recommend this hotel.
