So the owner passed away in November of 2024. He was a German married to a Filipina and she is locked out of the account on Expedia as she has no password. Needless to say, they property had no clue we booked the room, she has no way to collect the proceeds for the transaction.
While I did stay there and paid her for the 4 days in cash, Expedia still has my money which I will inform them of the situation of paying twice to stay there, if they don't refund me, my bank will get it back for me.
The apartment itself is okay, the living room is nice but takes forever to cool down. 1 sofa, 2 nice sitting chairs, TV with satellite. Kitchen is decent except for the ants. Damn, I've been in the Philippines and ants are a "thing" but it was insane. I have no clue what they survived on since the apartment has been empty for months. Plenty of dishes, pots/pans, good refrigerator. Good bathroom and separate from living area and bedroom. A/C is only in bedroom and it cools the room down but it takes all night to cool the other part of the apartment. Good storage in the entire house for long term stays.
The negatives...okay, you'll have to pay cash and hope Expedia refunds your money. The ants obviously I've covered too. The dirt access road if you have a car is fine but riding double on a heavily loaded scooter is not for the faint at heart. If you are an experienced rider, it's fine but a bit tricky to find the right line. Pool is not particularly clean. Pump and filter not running.
