Old, Tired, Insecure and Infested with cats
Apart from the excellent pool the villa was a huge disappointment.
In much worse condition than the pictures indicate the bathroom floor was made up with loose and badly regrouted tiles - dangerous to walk on and impossible to keep clean; the kitchen was very old, the fridge rusty and only the absolute minimum of utensils were provided many of which were broken. Worse still the kitchen windows were impossible to lock closed and the external shutters had no catch on one window - consequently it was impossible to secure the property when out or at night.
The exterior grounds had received only the minimum of maintenance and the section around the BBQ was dirty and neglected - at no stage did we feel like using it.
We arrived late at night to find no road name to indicate the location and the villa had no name plate at the gate to indicate its identity - it took an hour to eventually find it!
The worst was yet to come - the place was infested by feral cats. Having threatened the local managers (SeaLand properties) with the fact that we would leave immediately because of this infestation a team did arrive and removed most of the. Unfortunately, despite more than one reminder, the last two were still there when we left.
Overall the villa was clearly old, tired and unloved and had received only the bare minimum of maintenance and decoration for years. There were large unfilled cracks in walls and ceilings in many of the rooms.
I am genuinely surprised that you are prepared to list a property in this dire state on your website and on the basis of this experience will never use VRBO again.
