Property was probably nice when it opened, probably decades ago. Expedia said the property had a restaurant that was open 7 days a week. We arrived on a Sunday and were told restaurant was only open Thursday, Friday and Saturday. On the other hand, room was clean, comfortable and well kept.

The Bonnie Castle is advertised as a resort which was reflected in the cost of our two night, three room stay, nevertheless, upon arrival this ‘Resort’ informed us that the restaurant and bar were closed and would only open at the weekend or when the kids break up from school! But the lack of facilities was only secondary to the general state of disrepair and decline of this hotel. On the positive side Mother Nature did provide us with wonderful views of the Saint Lawrence River.

Water view was of marina at back of resort. Had to pay up to get actual waterfront views Made it seem like they were booked full all weekend but hardly 10 cars the whole stay. Will not return

wasnt a resort. no dining or bar available until wednesday(was there sun,mon,tues), no view of the water(saw back end of slips where maintenance was performed on boats in dock), never saw a 'castle'. not at all like review. but pool was nice, view from pool the best (really? from the pool, not the restaurant?), good reception with wifi and cable. plenty of lighting and good water pressure and heat in tub (standard tub, no hacuzzi like in promotional review)

It is an older building but it is well kept and clean. It’s close to cute shops, a small museum, entertainment from the night life and boat rides to the castles. I would book there again.

A lovely view of the St Lawrence and Boldt Castle. Desk was friendly and helpful. Outdoor pool was awesome as was the indoor pool and jacuzzi. They did close the restaurants the night we were there which at first seemed disappointing, but the walk to town where shops and restaurants were was only 9 minutes!

We were surprised overall. From the picture you get on line of Bonnie Castle to the reality of the hotel itself. I'm sorry but we were disappointed. Our view was a not so great to look at marina. We had to fight thru sand flies going into our room and found webs in the corners. The room was old. The good thing was the location and the restaurant .

The room was terribly outdated. The Riverview was obstructed by over grown landscaping. The door to the balcony should have a screen door. Jacuzzi tub was tiny and old. Getting to room 248 was a crazy obstacle course. Bed was not soft. For the price we paid and what we received was not equal.

The room had cobwebs all over the room it looked like the room had not been cleaned ina while. The whole place had a musty smell. My husband and i ended up staying some place. I would not recommend anyone to stay there not even in a pinch
