Service provided was good, can't complain. The one thing that could be better was the quality of food at the restaurant during our dinner, breakfast was excellent. Also there was confusion about the service time at the restaurant, the front desk indicated closing time was at 11:00 PM and restaurant staff told us 10:00 PM; that little confusion made us rush into the selection of our dishes

I go to Guatemala every year. I stay at Barceló or Clarion. I like the suits at clarion because I can invite friends to visit and it feels like I am home with no strangers in the next table, like at a restaurant. I was disappointed to see the Clarion not being updated and looking shabby. It's an international chain of hotels and a multimillion corporation. Why not invest in renovations? I found a roach in the living room and I reported it to management ( Christian Salazar ); he responded that they fumigate periodically and the roach probably came with a guest . I couldn't believe it. He practically told me It came with me. No apology whatsoever. The bathrooms are always so dark. This particular room 911 had a toilet problem. Every time I flashed the toilet , water just kept running and never stopped. In the third day, the handle of the toilet broke. I reported it and a technician came in 5 minutes to replace the handle . After he left , I noticed the water just kept running still. I was way too busy to call again. I just made sure to manipulate the handle to make it stop wasting water. The hotel no longer has a mini bar in the suits , unless you request it. But most of the employees at the front desk don't know. I had to ask 2 people. I was happy to get it very fast but it was dirty. No one took the time to clean it before bringing it to my suite. Not very professional. The breakfast buffet was reduced from 2 years ago, but the price is higher.

Fantastic hotel ! My favorite in Guatemala City!
The Clarion was my favorite hotel in Guatemala City ! Zona 10 is the best, most vibrant area of the city to me. The hotel is very nice and the staff is amazing ! Our suite was so spacious and very nice overall! The best was extra comfortable too. The only caveat is that we could hear outside as they have single glazed windows but overall is was fantastic!
