We arrived late from a delayed flight, around midnight. Our room was not properly made up. I had to go down to reception to request bedding for the sofa bed, which they promptly brought up for me to make up the bed. The coffee machine/kettle were not working so could not have a hot drink.

The hotel are excellent. The area are very nice.. it is very quiet in the evening.. easy to catch transport to the city. Buffet breakfast are great and plenty of choice.

nice hotel - great location - very close to the train station. pillows were not very comfortable. we had a minor issue with the shower not draining that became a bigger problem on our final day. We made sure staff was aware when when checked out.

I booked Novotel only because of a best memory of Novotel Edinburgh. However I am really disappointed with the entire service. I booked for double bed which they didn’t provide and two single bed just placed together 😡 I got a broken baby cot, used coffee spoons and no C port connection for phone charging.

Arrived about 7.30pm no bar no restaurant was told there was no room service - all were closed for a private function that was still going on , many people drinking at the bar that I was not allowed to enter . When asked how I could get food was directed to a shop that just had crisps and chocolate … went to room , no water in room … came back down to complain about no bar or restaurant or notice that there was no bar or restaurant after paying over €300 for the night … eventually manager got a pizza from the kitchen that I was told earlier I couldn’t order from ) I am gluten intolerant but also starving was not offered a choice snd made feel bad about needing something to eat - ate the top of the pizza ) will not stay at a Novotel again and I travel every week fur business - thought the service was terrible … I booked the room 2 days prior if I had been told no bar or restaurant I would have booked another hotel or at least picked something up at the airport . When I said this I was told there was a sign on the counter … which obviously was too late to book somewhere else
