This place still has some of its charme. While the facilities are in need of an uplifting, the experience and the grandiose feeling of other times make up for the less up-to-date facilities.

A nice place out of town to get away
This is an old hotel on a big piece of property. The room we stayed in was very nice and had great air conditioning (since it was really hot the day we were there, that was a plus) and good wifi. The restaurant also looks like it has been renovated, but the rest of the buildings around the hotel look like they haven't had any maintenance in the last 30 years. There is also a gym available with cardio equipment from the 80s and no air conditioning. There is tennis court but no net. The outdoor pool was being renovated while we were there. The photos on the VRBO website as well as the hotel website don't do a very good job of showing what the place is like.
