Checked in and there was only 1 towel for 2 people...no soap or shampoo. Within 15 minutes ofncheckin at 2am, the clerk was gone and at 9am, nobody was there. It was cold and felt dungy although room was clean.

Picked it from an Orbitz list. Flew up from SF. Used twice in a week to stay between Alaska Railroad trips from Anchorage to Fairbanks & back. Austeer but clean. I was on the second floor both stays. Bring your own Walgreens hangers. Water took 2-3 minutes to get from the boiler to my room, but I always had hot water to shower in. Desk sold cokes, etc. The Korean manager went out of his way to call me cabs (my cell phone did not work). He responded to all of the property's age-related deficiencies promptly. Inexpensive restaurants are nearby. Downtown museums, etc. are within walking distance. No real fear of homeless hassles or room or car break-ins. Decent place for short term stay. Parking on site. Room had basic television. Lots of FM stations.
I was there in August.
This property is currently almost closed - it literally is fenced off and apparently undergoing rehab. The room had no glasses and only two towels. I got bitten by bedbugs!! The manager was as helpful as possible, but this place is a Pit!
There was nothing I liked.. They put up a fence in front of the stairwell to the second floor to keep vagrants out.. The owner opened my door at 11pm at night with not even a knock.. Had a space heater for warmth.. TV had 5 channels.. The shampoo for the room was used.. No hot water for the bathroom sink.. Cheap bed.. He brought up a comforter when I checked in and toilet paper and towels.. Just a weird place.. No vending machines… This place could of been in the movies..
Fridge dirty and non functioning. Table not clean. No soap or hot water in the restroom. Room was hot, so had to have the window open and window faces busy street. Very loud.
Quaint mom and pop motel. Has everything you need and nothing you don’t. The staff was very friendly and was very attentive to ensuring a pleasant stay

Don’t even consider this place. When we reached this place, we kept on driving. Horrible looking place in a nasty, unsafe looking area of the city.
This could possibly be the worst place in Anchorage. It was worth our health and safety to lose our money and stay elsewhere.
The place (I won’t even call it the hotel) was in a very rough area of town. It was dilapidated and appeared to be abandoned. there were no other guests at the time I arrived. Their idea of security was a gate with an orange cone blocking the stairway. It seems as if they were only a few rooms available upstairs over the street. I was not about to drag my luggage up two flights of stairs. it was very disconcerting, and quite honestly for a single woman, scary. I was honestly afraid to even go see the room. The only people walking in the neighborhood were of questionable character, and again very scary for me. I chose to cancel the reservation and was told that I would be charged for the entire cost of the rooms. But was then told that for a $50 cash payment, the clerk would make sure that my card was not charged. While that may have been their policy, it was very sketchy as it was the clerk, and I was not about to hand anyone any cash. I thought that Hotels.com at least vetted the business operators. It includes on its website. There is no phone number to speak with someone at Hotels.com about this and going through the virtual agent and a live agent did absolutely no good because the agent ended the chat while I was typing a long answer to his question. I had already spent an hour and a half miss and it wasn’t worth ruining my vacation by spending any more time. In 50 years of traveling, this was honestly the worst of the worst of the worst experiences.
