During my recent stay in Antigua, I found the staff at Hot Chipilin to be exceptional. They were friendly and willing to go the extra mile. The room was clean, comfortable, and quiet. It was a welcome respite from the day’s activities. I would like to thank the staff for making my vacation such a pleasant one.

El hostal es muy sencillo, y la verdad me perdí en varias ocaciones para encontrarlo, y que tienen un restaurante con el mismo nombre. Trata de usar Google maps ya que Maps de Apple no funciona en esta locación. Yo elegí el basic room y a diferencia de lo que dice en la aplicación esta si incluye un baño privado dentro de la habitación y toallas de baño. Lo que no había y quizás no puse atención es aire acondicionado, solo tiene un pequeño ventilador pero no es suficiente, sobre todo en estos meses que hace mucho calor y a pesar de que por la noche el clima es mas fresco el cusrto se conserva caluroso porque solo tiene una pequeña ventana muy arriba. el lugar esta muy cercano a las calles principales por lo que ew facil encontrar todo tipo de negocios cerca

The listing is misleading. We booked a “standard” room and when we got there we were told we needed to share a bathroom (that is not “standard” when it comes to hotels), and the room was in a windowless basement. It was also dirty and smelly. . We could only be there long enough to book some place else. The lady at the front desk was unhelpful and did not even bat an eye when we informed we were leaving due to the poor conditions and it not being what we thought given their listing. Made us lose our money and spend twice for the same stay. Not recommended.

A weekend at Hot Chip.
Great location. The room was quiet and the bed was good. I really enjoyed the breakfast. The staff were very friendly. The wifi was good. A very nice inner courtyard. Very good value.

This is a fantastic place to stay convenient to everything in Antigua. The only update would be to set quiet times as the common areas are small and it will be nice to have breakfast without having someone blasting their cell phone.

Tuve un inconveniente con la reservacion ya que en expidia me aparecia que habia habitación con dos camas queen e hice la reserva para 3 personas, al llegar al lugar, me doy cuenta que lo que se supone pagué fue por una habitación doble ya que no tienen habitaciones con dos camas queen, al final me dieron opción de tomar otra que no tenia baño privado y estaba como en un sótano la cual no me gustó y mejor reservé otra habitación, lo único que no me gustó fue la mala información en expidia, por lo demás el Gerente muy amable, es muy seguro el lugar, limpio y tranquilo, me ayudaron a resolver el inconveniente de muy buena manera y nos brindaron bebidas de cortesia en el restaurante, definitivamente volveria a alojarme aquí ya que las habitaciones son muy bonitas y limpias

Me pareció un lugar encantador en el ambiente y el diseño, no hay música y tampoco es un lugar de fiesta para que lo tomes en cuenta, todo muy muy limpio, camas muy cómodas donde sin duda podrás tomar un descanso y continuar tu viaje sin duda volvería a hospedarme en Hot Chipilin. El personal fue muy atento, tenía dudas de que visitar en Antigua y ellos me dieron muy buenas recomendaciones, desayuno muy delicioso realmente recibes lo que pagas!! SIN DUDA TE RECOMENDARÍA HOT CHIPILIN gracias amigos nos vemos pronto!

Si valoras tu sueño y cuello, NO te quedes aquí
La PEOR estancia de mi vida. Primero me tuvieron esperando 30 minutos porque no podían verificar que la habitación ya había sido pagada, después me avisaron que a pesar de haber reservado una habitación privada compartiría baño con cinco desconocidos, mi cuarto estaba literalmente de lado derecho de la entrada del hotel y no tenía una división real con el lobby, por lo que cada que alguien entraba y salía del hotel mi novio y yo escuchábamos todo, fue imposible dormir, nos despertarnos múltiples veces tanto en la noche como en la mañana, las almohadas horrendas, sin ningún tipo de soporte, terminé con dolor de cuello…y para acabarla de amolar habían bichos en la cama, me dio tanto asco que dormí arriba de las sábanas. No suelo dejar malos comentarios de los lugares pero este hotel si es de lo peor que he experimentado y definitivamente hizo que mi última noche en Guatemala la pasara MUY incómoda
