Enjoyed one evening at the Hollytree. Beautiful coastal view. Clean and tidy room. Friendly and helpful staff. Nice restaurant with a traditional menu. Indoor pool and hot tub were highlights.

The property apparently closes doors around midnight. We came a little late one day and had no idea how to enter the building. Found a way via the pool area into the lobby but then the corridors to our rooms were closed. After knocking on doors, the hotel staff came out of their room and were upset at us for knocking. All they had to do was leave a note on the door how to get in with your key, no such note was there. The female staff was ok but the male staff was very rude.

The hotel was in a quiet area with great views across Loch Linnhe. The room and entire property were very clean. Room was spacious. Water pressure was very good in the shower. Staff was very attentive, especially in the restaurant and bar areas. The bathroom was dated and the bed was a wee bit harder than we would have preferred. Overall it was a nice small hotel that fit our needs very well.

Not worth the price
Disappointed with my stay here, especially given the price. The reception staff were not helpful or friendly and the swimming pool/jacuzzi room was dingy/small and not very nice. The walls are very thin so you can hear kids screaming/running around late into the night, and since the front desk isn't staffed at night, there's nothing to be done about it. The saving grace is the restaurant, which was very nice.
