Arcata Forest Retreat

Find your bliss in this lovely, *quiet* forest retreat! This private,440 sq ft apartment has comfortable amenities, tasteful ambiance, and a very accommodating host to offer local recommendations. The unit is attached to a home, but securely sectioned off to have its own entrance with plenty of privacy. It is ideally suited for 2, but we will allow for a 3rd guest for an additional fee. The bedroom has a very comfortable memory foam queen-sized bed with quality linens, a closet with hangers and “cubbies” for your items, a smart TV from which you can sign into your favorite streaming services, lots of natural light and well-loved plants. It connects to a full bathroom with a shower and basic toiletries. The living room has a dining table with two chairs, and a very comfortable twin bed that I load up with velvet pillows to mold to your whim. There is also a kitchenette with a mini-fridge, microwave, counter-top oven/toaster, electric kettle, and a Keurig for making coffee (dishes, glasses, basic food prep-ware, coffee and tea supplies included with rental). The wifi is strong for all your streaming and online needs. Arcata Forest Retreat also boasts its own private, small patio at the entrance with a soothing fountain, seating, and a propane fire pit (propane tank rental separate, $22 cash). Soak in the redwoods as you lounge by the fire with some hot tea and a book! This unit does share some walls, so we require and honor "quiet hours" from 10pm-9am. Please bear in mind, wide-angled photos intended to show the whole space do distort the images slightly, and make the rooms look a bit bigger than they are. From this apartment you can walk 5 minutes to amazing hike/bike trails, drive 5 minutes to downtown Arcata/Cal Poly Humboldt, drive 10 minutes to Arcata Marsh and Humboldt Bay, or 15 minutes to a variety of pristine beaches. Humboldt is all about NATURE: Hike, bike, surf, raft, kayak, paddle board. Finish your active day with excellent restaurants/bars/entertainment downtown.
