Estrellas de Gredos
Wotif Verified Review
2 / 5
We recently stayed at Estrellas de Gredos and were really disappointed. The place has stunning mountain views and a traditional curved ceiling, but a lot of things went wrong. The biggest issue was a broken sliding door that wouldn’t lock. When we told the staff, they showed up unannounced at 22:00 and just said it was safe to leave it unlocked, which didn't sit right with us. The inside felt cheap too. The kitchen had flimsy Ikea stuff that looked like it could fall apart any minute. The plates were still wet and dirty, and the pots and tongs had seen better days. The only cava glass there made it clear they weren’t keeping things up to scratch. The garden was just weeds, and the breakfast was just a few basic pastries from the supermarke The interior felt cheap, especially the kitchen, which was equipped with flimsy Ikea furniture and appliances. Plates were damp and stained, and the cooking tools were worn out, including a burnt saucepan and melted tongs. There was only one cava glass available, and the garden was unkempt. The 'included' breakfast consisted only of a few long-life supermarket pastries, insufficient for our stay. Additionally, the Wi-Fi was non-functional, forcing us to rely on our mobile data. Overall, while the setting is beautiful, the lack of attention to detail and basic amenities made it clear that Estrellas de Gredos does not provide good value for the money spent. We left feeling underwhelmed and overcharged.
