Hotel is very nice and everything is top quality except for the service. At well over £200 per night you expect your breakfast to come in the correct order, ie not your cooked breakfast before your porridge. Then when the cooked breakfast comes back 10 mins later you don’t expect it to be the same one you sent away which was neither fresh nor hot. Poor waiter service, obviously untrained. Not good enough for what they are trying to project re price. Top quality destination with very poor quality service.

Last minute luxury in Oban
Last minute booking at the end of a 6 day break travelling the west of Scotland. A very beautiful and unique hotel in a fantastic location, quiet and overlooking the water, but only 10 mins drive to Oban centre. Fantastic help on arrival by the reception and senior staff/manager to arrange a room with a bath and also late dining as we had been delayed getting there. Lovely varied menu and extensive drinks list which contributed to a fabulous evening! Great option to use the private HotTub, although we didn't have the time on this occasion, but definitely will do on our next stay. All in all, a fantastic hotel and great value!

Lovely newly renovated hotel in a beautiful location. Great staff, relaxing fireplace to sit and rest. Some small changes i would like to see in bedrooms for next visit- Full length mirror. Soap in bathroom. Hairdryer. Iron and in the morning more choice with continental breakfast.

Lovely overnight escape.
Our stay at the Knipoch was one of the most comfortable and enjoyable overnights we have had for some time. The setting is beautiful, the accommodation is first class and the food is of a high standard. If you get a chance take a hike up the little path at the back of the hotel.

We had a wonderful stay at the Knipoch hotel. It's a warm and cozy place to stay and we hope to be back again soon. It provides a great leaping off point for exploring Oban and area and the staff are incredibly kind.
