The āWā House is a 2,700SF, three story custom chalet, perfect for peaceful multi-family vacations, located on over an acre of gorgeous forestland. Each floor of the āWā House has a large bedroom, each with an ensuite bathroom, which makes the space perfect for at least 3 separate families. Beautiful tall trees are outside of every window and we often get visitors from local wildlife. The āWā House is equipped with central heat and central air conditioning so that all guests stay comfortable, no matter what the season. We are also happy to accept no more than 2 pets per reservation for an additional $100 cleaning fee. The āWā House also includes a game room with board games, darts, a pool table, wet bar, Peloton bike, and a 70ā smart TV! We will supply plenty of wood so that you can relax in front of the two fireplaces and stay cozy during the winter. We are also very baby/toddler friendly and have the major items any parents might need, including baby gates, travel cribs, kids dining items, video monitor, and more.

-Loft Area with Twin daybed and twin trundle, plus a desk and chair for working. Note that this loft area opens up to the main level, so it is not considered a private bedroom.
We also share a property line with the Stanislaus National Forest (say hello to snow play and hiking right in the backyard!) and are located within the Blue Lake Springs HOA, which gives you and your authorized guests access to the private lakes, swimming pool, tennis courts, pickle ball courts, private restaurant, volleyball and basketball courts, bocce and shuffleboard, and ping pong tables. Please note that the BLS HOA Amenities are available Memorial Day through Labor Day, for a small fee. More information available in our Welcome Book. By hiking the trails and fire roads behind the āWā House, you can even access Big Trees State Park to view the famous sequoia trees without having to drive! On the property you will have access to an outdoor fire pit (use subject to current burning regulations) and a horseshoe court. There is plenty of parking on the property for at least 6 vehicles, but please note that some areas are steep and may require 4x4 and/or chains during snow season. We have a seasonal snow plow contract for your convenience that will plow the driveway during the winter, but due to the unpredictable nature of winter storms that vary from year to year, we have no control over public access roads or availability of electricity.

-Murphys for wine tasting, olive oil tasting, and quaint restaurants, 16 miles away
-Arnold Rim Trail for biking, hiking, or horseback riding, 3.8 miles away
-Spicer Sno-Park for snow play, 23 miles away
-White Pines Lake (4 miles away), Spicer Reservoir (32 miles away), Union Reservoir (32 miles away), and Lake Alpine (29 miles away) for fishing and SUP
Guests of the āWā House have access to the entire 2,700 square foot house through a keyless entry system. You will also have access to the carport and downstairs door to make entry during the snow season a breeze. You may also use the 1+ acre that the āWā House is situated on at your leisure for snow play and hiking, but please be courteous of our neighbors. The unattached garage and separate lower level storage room is not for guest use and will remain locked and unoccupied during your stay.
Guests will have self-check-in starting at 4pm with check-out at 11am. Hosts will not be onsite, but are reachable 24/7 with any questions or concerns. Our custom Welcome Book will be electronically delivered to you upon reserving the āWā House, which will explain all the details of the property and surrounding areas.
Other things to note
-Primary renter must be 25+ years old to book the āWā House. We require a separate short term rental contract to be signed at the time of the reservation.
-A maximum of 12 adults sleep comfortably in the āWā House, but it has the capability to sleep 20 (including children). If you have more than 12 adults, please inquire with the Host and a fee of $25 per adult over the 12 max adults will be charged per night.
-A maximum of 2 pets are permitted at the āWā House and are subject to a $100 extra cleaning fee. Please do not leave pets unattended and no pets are allowed on the furniture. Pet waste bags and a scooper are available for guestsā use and all pet waste must be cleaned up before checkout.
-Smoking is prohibited inside the āWā House. If you must smoke, please do so outside and ensure windows/doors are closed and you take special care to prevent fires and trash.
-During snow season, the driveway will be plowed when 4ā of snow falls, but we cannot guarantee that the public roads will be cleared in the same manner. Please be prepared with 4x4 vehicles and/or chains/cables. No refunds will be available for winter conditions, including in the event of power outages.
-The āWā House is located on the edge of the Stanislaus National Forest and far away from most neighbors. Please ensure your noise is not carrying to our neighbors. The quiet hours for the HOA are 10pm-9am. No parties and no loud music outdoors.
-Cell phone service is spotty and/or non-existent throughout the area. Please download directions for offline use prior to arrival and ensure you make note of the front door code that will be provided prior to your reservation.
