Le garde-pile - ASSIER

The Domaine de Mons (former Templar commandery, property of 200 hectares) does not only welcome holidaymakers, it has as main activities the breeding of cows and horses. It is located in the Regional Natural Park of the Causses du Quercy, 1.5 km from the village of Assier (all shops). The gîte, separated from the owners' house (which is a few meters away) by a hedge preserving its intimacy, is bright and spacious, without vis-à-vis, and enjoys a beautiful view of the surrounding countryside (the meadows of the estate are further on the Causse). It has been restored with a concern for authenticity while privileging a good interior comfort. An above ground wooden swimming pool (4.12 diam x 1.20 depth) is to be shared with the gite 46G12328 (capacity 2 pers). Direct access to the footpath. Proximity to many tourist sites: Rocamadour 30km, Padirac 30km, Lac du Tolerme 40 km, Figeac 25 km, Saint Cirq Lapopie 50 km.All linen & towels are provided and beds are made up before arrival. An enclosed garden full of flowers, a large terrace under an arbour (facing south) gives access to the entrance of the gîte with a living room/kitchenette, a large hall (wardrobe/shelves), 2 bedrooms (1 bed 1.60m x 2.00m, 2 beds 0.90m x 2.00m, possibility of a baby bed) and a bathroom + toilet. Wood central heating and wood stove in the living room (0,10 euros/kwh), stone floor in all rooms, wifi. Next to the gîte (west facing), there is a converted space (fenced). Here you can have breakfast in peace and quiet, sunbathe in the afternoon listening to the crickets, admire the horses or watch the sunset in the evening while preparing grilled food on the barbecue. Possibility of fishing in a pond located 50m away and for the bicycle lovers, renting nearby with circuits available from the gîte.
