overall stay was good. Biggest complaint would be that the pool was ice cold. The breakfast hot food was nasty potatoes tasted like dirt and sausage links were rubbery and tasted horrible.

Great location
Just an overnight stay in our way to the Oregon Coast. Astoria is a beautiful little town that has plenty to see and do plus a bounty of good restaurants. Best Western was in the Columbia River so offered views of the ships heading up and down the river.

There was a chewed piece of gum stuck to the luggage rack, a used straw under the foot rest and a large spider and web attached to my headboard. When I asked to switch rooms becsuse i have had bad reactions to spider bites in the past i was told there was nothing they could do and hopefully the spider crawls in a hole and dies. And that the manager wouldn't answer their phone if the desk agent called so she wasn’t even going to try. For almost $400 a night i should at least be able to get a clean room! The Holiday Inn down the street is clean, comfortable, and most importantly, spider free. You are better off staying there!

The room was comfortable but lacked value for a parking lot and highway view. WiFi was down and not available. Barking sea lions were problematic. Hot breakfast was a highlight.

My alarm clock had the wrong time, no matter how many times I tried to reset to correct time. I had to get up at 4am. This made it hard to know what the currant time is. I to front desk and asked for a new working clock. She said they didn't have any. When Best Western took over they only bought the correct amount, no extras. Would I go back there next year? I doubt it. We've going to that hotel when it was a Comfort Inn for over ten years. No problem.

There were no bath towels, had to go to front desk and ask. Then she said they were out of towels. Had to wait for the hotel to finish drying the towels. We've stayed before when it a Comfort Inn. Never had a problem with Comfort Inn.
