Quiet, relaxing,beautiful riverside home located on Thunderbay River

Beautiful and quiet neighborhood located on the Thunderbay River. This house is set on a almost 2 acres partially wooded lot with frequent wildlife visits including; Bald eagles, Osprey, lots of waterfowl, fox ,whitetail deer and an occasional owl. The views are spectacular thru out the different seasons. The colors of fall are are breath taking with the reflection of the colors mirrored across the calm river. The winter brings the beauty of snow covered trees and partially ice covered river. The new life of spring is sure to catch everybody's eyes as all of the young wildlife start to show up and are paraded around thru the lillies. Cozy and comfortable home with a bonus 3 seasons room to be able to enjoy the scenery from the comfort of inside. We are within just 1.5 miles of gas stations, grocery store, dollar general, family dollar and 2 hardware stores. There are a few restaurants just a couple minutes that offer various food and drinks. Overall a great place to relax and enjoy nature. Located only a block away from the snowmobile / side by side trail makes it convenient for outdoor winter sports. Come and
share the enjoyment of this cozy setting and the great views of the river year round. Finding Michigan morel mushrooms is a favorite past time. There are thousands of acres of public land within miles of the cabin. Taking a canoe trip or kayaking from the cabin and seeing the wildlife or perhaps listening to the loons can be so relaxing.

Another amazing getaway
This was our second getaway to this comfy cottage and it was just as fantastic as the first visit!! Across the river, the trees we just beginning to change color. Such a breathtaking scene first thing in the morning, with the fog. It definitely has become one of my favorite spots in the mitten.

In town for a wedding. Exactly as described. Owner was great with communication! Quiet, beautiful, and clean property! The river was gorgeous, a little difficult to get from the dock to main flow of the river but nothing that can’t be done. Having the kayaks there to use was such a great bonus!

Very relaxing
Very quiet and relaxing only negative was the flat top, it was in need of replacement, so bought bbq grill i donated for future guest. Also was no chairs for fire pit.but wildlife was great, kids caught fish everyday and enjoyed kayaks.had 3 deer in driveway when we came back from amish bakery in mio. The host was great answered all my questions.wish there was tv in room but did have nice tv in living room and great wifi.our dogs loved the yard. Only neighbor we seen was across street she was nice but her dog barked non stop, but it was only when we were outside by road, and her hiuse far enough away wasnt problem to avoid that situation. I wish i would of stayed a couple more days as the quiet naps were nice. I would definitely go again.and a hammock would be a nice touch on the river side.

Great location! Home was clean and cozy. Unfortunately only stayed for one night but will be back next year for longer stay. Abundance of wildlife spotted and a great view of the Thunder Bay River. 5 Star!!

Relaxing.
We were very happy staying here. It was clean and had all the amenities we wanted. The screened in area was a great place to sit and watch the wildlife as well as eat in an outdoor environment without all of the disadvantages of having bugs dine on us. We were invited to use the canoe, but having brought our own kayaks we went kayaking on a different body of water. If we had had more time we would have kayaked at the house. Thank You Matt for a wonderful experience. We hope to visit again.

Family Time
We had a wonderful time visiting family in the area. It was extra special to be able to host Grandpa for breakfast in the patio to watch the lake and wildlife. No swimming. The place was as expected, easy to get to and find, close to town, quiet, and made you feel like you could disconnect. WiFi was great, I was able to work virtually with video. Having the garage to park the Motorcycle was the best bonus. We will be staying agin.

Relax in The North
The property is peaceful. If we had a boat, we would of went out and fished further from the cabin. You might want to bring lawn chairs, if you like to sit outside. The cabin was very clean, and well maintained. Full size appliances, including washer and dryer which was nice to have. It was also nice having air conditioning during the hot days. Travel to Alpena, Roger City, Lewiston, Hillman were nice rides. Went on the trails looking for Elk, several days but no luck. Seen a lot of deer though. Thank you, Matthew, we seniors enjoyed ourselves.

My new Vacation spot Up North
We stay at the house for five days an it was so peaceful to wake up each morning hearing the birds chirping. Drinking coffee while you watch the squirrels chase each other as a Huron flies into the Bay. We woke up Sunday morning with a couple deer bedded down right in the front yard. As a family we where able to pass time kayaking the bay or fishing right off the dock. The location is great very accessible to the locate grocery store gas station. Just around the corner from town but yet not to close. A lot of close walking trails to venture on as well. Very comfortable home away from home I can't wait to make another visit for the car show again next year.

I would live here!!
If you need to find your zen, your connection with nature or your inner peace, this is the place for you!! Everyone's favorite place to sit was the four seasons room!! We literally spent all morning in that room looking at the beautiful river and all the wild life around us. We kayaked the river, docked in town, had ice cream at a cute little bistro, the kiddos played at a park and even in the river for a little bit. There is a great grocery store within 5 mins of the house to get all of your food necessities and beverages. We had a fantastic time and will definitely be back again!!

Mushroom time!
Excellent communication! Really nice place. The screened in porch was our favorite! Saw all sorts of ducks and geese. Saw a woodpecker. Even got to watch a couple of beavers hard at work! Would definitely stay again. It was close to our hunting spots for mushrooms. Had a little bit of a problem with the tv! Sent him a message and had it taken care of very quickly! So dont hesitate to check this place out!! Thanks again!

Beautiful setting beside the Thunder Bay River
We had a great time! House is very nice, and even got to see a bald eagle in the back yard. We drove some back roads out of town and got to see a few elk! Will definitely come back again.

Cozy, relaxing and beautiful
Our stay was amazing . A beautiful home, very calm and quiet area with stunning scenery. The house sits right on thunder bay river, If you wanted just a quiet getaway or have a scenic vacation this house can accommodate all your needs. Maybe a 5 minute drive to the main strip of Atlanta which has everything you need from a convenience store to restaurants to full grocery stores. My fiance and I went to Roger City which was about 1 hour away and we went to Gaylord which was about 30 minutes away. There was a ton to do and it wasn't that far to be able to enjoy it. The views from the property are amazing. A lot of wildlife which was very cool to see. A lot of ORV trails nearby and beautiful walking trails and lakes. The host was very friendly, Super nice !Will definitely be coming back!
