I waited a bit to post this review in hopes of a fair resolution from the property owner, which, after promised, never happened.
My daughter and I arrived around 9:30pm on check in day. There was a sticky substance in several places on the floor, and the carpet had not been vacuumed. I looked for any cleaning supplies and found nothing but dish soap and 4 pieces of paper towel left, so I put those over some of the spots on the floor. When I entered the main bathroom, it was very clear nothing was cleaned. There were tiny black hairs all over the floor and in the shower, including a used bar of soap with hairs all over it. Trash on the floors, no hand soap. The second bathroom wasn't quite as bad, but floors were not cleaned. All of the bedside tables looked like they had never been dusted. Found towels thrown in the linen closet and a wad of hair came out of them, so I ended up having to wash all towels and sheets before we could get into bed. Luckily I brought my own detergent because the bottle there was empty. I finally get into bed around 11:45pm, and the owner calls my cell at 12:19am to ask if I was in the house. Very strange. When I questioned him about the cleanliness of the property, he asked for pictures (luckily I took some before I cleaned) and to put everything in a text to him, so I did. I had to go to Publix the next morning and buy a swiffer wet jet, lysol wipes, paper towels, toilet paper, and hand soap. He said he would refund the cleaning fee. That never happened. I asked 3 times and he asked me if I knew how to do it? I googled it and responded to him. After that he went dark. I contacted VRBO to report this and the person said he would contact the owner. I still haven't heard back from VRBO or the owner, so decided to finally post the review.
