The staff were friendly and the hotel was clean. Cons: If you like old Vegas, then maybe you would like The Granite Town Hotel. The hotel is very dated and old. The hotel needs a lot of maintenance. The pet friendly room we stayed in had rust running down the side of the tub. The paint on the bathroom ceiling was coming down. The mattress was very hard. The furniture was old and dingy. The table in the suite was very marked up and stained. The heater/air conditioning unit had to be off at night because it rattled so loud you wouldn’t be able to be sleep. The price per night was high considering the condition and amenities of the hotel. I found charging $25 a night per dog excessive. I would have been happy to put down a damage deposit.

This is a very nice hotel situated in a country setting. The hotel could use some updating. It is very clean. Breakfast was as expected and on par with most hotels that include breakfast.

Nice hotel in an out-of-the-way location
Hotel was fine, bed was comfortable. Bathroom is a bit dated. I wish it had a walk-in shower instead of a bathtub with no grab bars, for those of us who can’t climb in and out of a bathtub without fear of falling. Building and grounds are nice, but not much opportunity for eating nearby, especially if you arrive after 8:00 p.m. Breakfast was continental, but better than most places.

I stayed here twice before and it was fine. Unfortunately this time the entire town lost its power. Unfortunate situation but as a business they were unprepared for the unexpected. The only lighting was by cellphone at the front desk. We relied on our cellphones as our only source of lights to and from the car and inside our room and needed to charge them in the car. The beds and pillows were cozy but we hardly slept because of the constant beeping from their alarm. I appreciate that they are new owners, they were lovely BUT unprepared for this situation- bottled water and flashlights would have made a world of difference and get a generator for the front desk at the very least. We verbalized our concerns with the owners and asked if our rate would be adjusted accordingly, they said the system was still down and they would do the charge when the power came back. I got charged FULL price and when I sent an email questioning their decision it was ignored. I returned to St George 2 times since this stay and stayed elsewhere on principle. The owners were lovely but chose 1 night of profit over having loyal customers.
