Clean and comfortable stay
We loved staying here. The place was clean and warm. It was a great place for our dog with the backyard being immediately accessible and safe away from the road. The location was within reach to quite a few walking trails and attractions. Lake Superior shoreline was right across the highway from us where we were able to get the best borealis photos at the one of the 3 scenic pullovers less than a mile from us. The traffic noise was prominent during certain times of the day. It did not interfere with our sleep during the night. We were gone most of the daylight hours. The FireTV and Roku TV needed a hotspot to watch TV. The internet was spotty unless you put the mobile hotspot device in a window well but worked well if you did. Maybe steel roof causing issues with connection? Would do this rental again.

Very cute cabin.
When we stayed we were the only ones on the property. The upside is that it is very close to the beach, the only downside is the traffic.

Another great stay here!
This was a return trip for us, to attend a wedding in Munising. Everything in the cottage was in great working order, it was clean and comfy, and we really loved it. Again! The dogs loved the nearby beaches and dog friendly hiking trails. Definitely a great place with convenient location and easy access to Pictured Rocks, hiking trails, beaches, and other adventures. If you are into birding, two great options are the Au Train Songbird trail at the Au Train campground in the national park, and the Seney wildlife preserve a bit farther of a drive but less than an hour from the cottage, and near Grand Marais so make a day trip of that whole side on the National Lakeshore.

Comfy, Convenient and clean place
We spent a long rainy weekend here in late Sept. This place is very conveniently located between Munising and Marquette so it was easy for us to see Pictured rocks and Presque isle on different days. It is dog friendly and our dogs loved that it was so close to a couple nice beach areas on Lake Superior. The cabin had everything we needed, and the heat worked great! It had all of the pots and utensils in great shape. We just used the master bedroom and the bed was very comfy. The only downside was the lack of TV and WIFI - as older people we didn’t mind the lack of connection but we also did not have cell service and would have liked to be able to check weather before heading out. Maybe even a digital antenna would be helpful to get a local channel, if that works. Or a radio! But we just loved staying here and would definitely come again. There is a nice fire pit and woods in the back, but we did not get to use the fire pit or walk around the area much since it was too cold and windy.

The house is meticulously maintained and decorated adorably. We enjoyed the privacy of the location, yet the house is close enough to any activities in Munising or Marquette.

Amazing UP Getaway Cottage
The cottage felt like brand new and was well appointed with handmade wood furnishings. Although physical square footage is smaller, it’s layout makes best use of the space and was the perfect size for our needs. Everything was extremely clean and well maintained, and had all amenities we needed. There is no Wi-Fi, however we had no need to even turn on a television. There is so much to see and do in the area, and the fire pit is a great way to spend evenings after long days at the beach or sightseeing. The Owner was extremely responsive to messages and made sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. The location is right off M-28, so you need to understand there will be some road noise. Inside the cabin you don’t even notice it unless windows are open. It was not an issue that made our stay any less enjoyable. Beach access is about 2,000 feet away, and was only populated by the occasional traveler. Recommend driving there if you’re bringing chairs and a cooler. Overall we were extremely pleased with our stay at this property and would absolutely stay here again.

A great cabin in a great location
The appointments included everything you need for a short stay. The layout and furniture were great. The location was a short walk from the closest Lake Superior access, and centrally located for lots of great sights and activities. This was our first VRBO stay, and it was a great experience. The owner was very responsive to our communications.

Privet highway cabin
We loved our stay here. It was a great location for touring all the area attractions. Close to beautiful Lake Superior which we really enjoyed. We got to use the fire pit and watched a family of Sand Hill Cranes. They did not have wifi which was only mildly inconvenient. We were a family of 6 that comfortably slept us all. The loft bedroom was perfect for our 16yr old grandson. If you plan on spending time outside you may want to take your own yard games for there were none there. Overall we felt safe, comfortable and relaxed. Highly recommend.

Great beach access to Lake Superior
Such a comfortable living space! So often rental spaces only having dining room chairs and bed. Glad to have more furniture options. Also, with new construction, no mosquitoes on the inside! I just wish this place had wifi.

Awesome new cabin!
The cabin itself is new, beautiful and well appointed. It’s also centrally located about 15 mins away from Munising/Pictured Rocks and 30 mins away from Marquette. We have ATT cell service and had very spotty to no reception in all areas of UP, BUT it was nice that my teen boys were forced to disconnect and be in nature. Very close to beach access across the highway (which was noisy at times) but overall a great cabin and we had everything we needed!

Beautiful cabin
The cabin was easy to access and very clean. The craftsmanship and attention to detail was evident in the design of the cabin. Awesome shower. The fire pit was perfect. The cabin is near M28 but the road noise didn't bother anyone in our group and I am a light sleeper and did fine. There is access to Lake Superior across the street. We walked or drove over there. The beach was beautiful and usually no one or a handful of people over there. Excellent location to Munising. It was a 12 minute drive most times. Most of us had cell service at the cabin. My son did not but just used my hot spot. Excellent stay. The owner thought of everything really. ...even my teenager was impressed!

Great place
Great place right on the highway. I think we were some of the first renters. All dishes and linens were in great shape and very clean. Spent a lot of time out hiking and then by the fire so we didnt use much of whats inside except to sleep. There's a weber grill for cooking. If you're a light sleeper, there's a fair amount of highway noise and the blinds are light filtering so earplugs and a sleep mask might help!

We did enjoy the stay. The cabin was beautiful insdide and out. Nice layout and very clean. The draw backs are: 1) you are very close to SR 28. A lot of traffic noise. We had trouble sleeping. 2) we had no cellphone coverage with AT& T which was an big issue trying to stay in contact with business. 3). Due to no cell coverage means no TV at all. I would consider this cottage during Snowmobile Season. This is definitely a very nice cabin. I wish it was a little further from highway
