Excellent place to stay near Bayeux and the D-Day beaches
This was our second stay at this property and it was great for our needs. The weather wasnā€™t perfect so our plans had to be adjusted. We really enjoyed visiting Bayeux and cycling along the coast. It was a very comfortable property and well equipped.

It was a lovely location with a beautiful garden. I felt safe and enjoyed our stay. The place was beautiful! The drive to many wonderful attractions was enjoyable. We were greeted after a delayed train and were able to get settled right away. The toilet seat kept falling off. As a woman traveling with my husband and sons, I was the only one who noticed that. The pictures match the beautiful space! Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Great property for our Normandy stay
We loved our short stay at this comfortable property in Normandy. We had stayed in the area before and wanted somewhere near Bayeux and Port-en-Bessin. A big plus was having the recently opened cycle track which we could join from near where we were staying. This meant we were able to use our bikes most days with wonderful views over the nearby coast. A highlight was our guided tour of Bayeux Cathedral which we recommend.

One week holiday
We stayed for one week. Upon arrival the fireplace was lit, which made it feel very cozy. The house has been stylishly renovated with two bedrooms with three beds. The description is accurate (incl. sauna). There is an electrical car charging point just around the corner (which did not work with Shell recharge card although advertised it would. Not the fault of the property owner). There are two IR lamps for heating in the living room as well, while bedrooms and bathroom have electrical heating. Kitchen includes all necessities. The garden has two levels and sufficient privacy and there is a BBQ as well. The gate is electrical and very convenient. The walk to the the seaside is about 10 minutes downhill. Unfortunately no shops/restaurant in the small village itself, but Port en Bessin is just 4 km away.

Fantastic Property, Great Location, Highly Recommended
I highly recommend this property. My wife and I stayed here for two weeks in early June during the height of the 75th D-day anniversary commemorations. It was the perfect location for our visit. The house is an old forge recently completely renovated so it is essentially brand new. The large main room on the first floor includes a modern kitchen with everything you need, a small kitchen table, a large dining table, a convertible sofa, cable tv, wi-fi, a wood-burning stove, heating lamps and many great architectural touches. The first floor has a bedroom with a double bed and a modern bathroom, with a washer-dryer. The second floor loft has a double bed and a twin bed. So the property could easily sleep seven. The location is excellent. It is just off the Omaha Beach road (D 514), and it is just a short distance to Omaha Beach in one direction and Port en Bessin in the other, and a half hour from Bayeux. It sits on a side road, Rue Eglise, that goes one mile down past the church to a secluded beach. The property itself sits in an enclosed court with lovely gardens, private parking and an electric gate. The owners, Laurence and Michel, live in the house next door, and Patrick, who takes care of the property, lives right across the street. They were all warm, welcoming and very, very helpful. We found that Port en Bessin, just a few miles away, was a great base for our two-week stay. In particular, the Super U store just off the traffic circle on Omaha Beach Road, had groceries and everything else we needed. Port en Bessin also has many excellent restaurants. In sum, you will love the house, the location and the people. Enjoy!

Fabulous place near Omaha Beach!
Beautiful rustic feel home! Spacious, furnished perfectly for short or long term stays! Right in the heart of the Normandy landings, you will not find a better place! In a quiet neighborhood with friendly neighbors this home was perfect! Less than 10 minutes from Omaha Beach, American Cemetery and many other historical sites!

This rustic country home is a real gem with kind owners!
It is a newly renovated house with modern amenities but the rustic flair of an old stone country home. The property provides security through a private parking spot within an automatic closing gate. There's also an outdoor grill, and a play scape for young kids to enjoy. The home itself consists of a beautiful two story living room with kitchenette and a large dining area. Both a wood burning stove and two heating lamps provide warmth on cool Normandy days. The kitchen is well equipped with a stove, microwave, dishwasher and large fridge- freezer combo. There are plenty of cooking utensils and dishes. There's also a large TV and a pullout couch. The master bedroom off of the living room is cozy, with fluffy bedding. A separate toilet and a modern bath (with a washing machine-dryer combo!) complete the ground floor. Above the kitchen is a second bedroom with a single and a double bed. The landlady Laurence is a wonderful and caring host, speaks English well, and even provided fresh flowers and some regional goodies on our arrival. We would have liked to spend more than 3 days there. The location is perfect to go explore the nearby WWII sights and museums. The beach is 10 walking minutes away. We cannot praise this property enough, and highly recommend it!!!

Der Aufenthalt war sehr angenehm und bei Fragen war immer jemand erreichbar. Die alte Schmiede wurde liebevoll renoviert und ist vollstƤndig eingerichtet. Den Punkteabzug gab es lediglich, weil das Objekt nicht vollstƤndig gereinigt war. Dies wurde aber vom EigentĆ¼mer erklƤrt und entschuldigt.

Wir waren als Paar mit Vierbeiner in dem geschmackvoll eingerichtetem Haus. Es hat uns an nichts gefehlt, die AuƟenanlage ist hĆ¼bsch und wir haben sie und die herrlichen Ausflugsziele am Meer genossen. Wahrnehmenbar im Garten war zu gewissen Zeiten der StraƟenverkehr zu den StrƤnden. Wir konnten gut damit leben, denn ansonsten stimmte einfach alles. Richtung LandungsstrƤnde

Mittendrin und doch ruhig
Ein nettes Haus in ruhiger Lage. Dennoch sind Strand, BƤcker und Restaurants gleich um die Ecke. Das Haus teilt sich ein GrundstĆ¼ck mit einem weiteren Ferienhaus, was aus der Anzeige nicht hervorging. Wir hatten GlĆ¼ck und nette Nachbarn, die auch keine Angst vor einem groƟen Hund hatten. Was fehlte, waren Auflagen fĆ¼r die Gartenliegen und bei Ostwind weht der Gestank einer Papierfabrik in die Nase. Zum GlĆ¼ck hatten wir meistens Westwind. Alles in allem passen Angebot und Preis.

Tolle Ferien mit Kindern und Hunden
Grosser gemĆ¼tlicher Wohnraum, zweckmƤssig eingerichtet. Wunderschƶner Garten, rundum eingezƤunt und dadurch perfekt fĆ¼r unsere Hunde. Gegend sehr geschichtstrƤchtig - es gibt viel zu sehen und auch bei kĆ¼hleren Temperaturen hat man viele Mƶglichkeiten. Wir bekamen zwei FahrrƤder zur VerfĆ¼gung - die Gegend war dann aber doch nicht nur topfeben! Insgesamt verbrachten wir tolle Ferien - danke Laurence, dass wir mit unseren 7 Hunden anreisen durften.

Aus einem ungeplanten Umstand heraus sind wir einen Tag frĆ¼her angereist. Laurence und Michel haben uns sogar Unterkunft in ihren PrivatrƤumen angeboten. Super gepflegtes Ferienhaus in guter Lage. Es fehlt an nichts!!! Zum Sandstrand am Omaha-Beach sind es nur wenige Autominuten. Das Ferienhaus hat einen goƟzĆ¼gigen eingezƤunter Garten, der unserem Hund sehr gefallen hat. Der Service und das Ambiente sind einfach wunderbar gewesen. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefĆ¼hlt. Fantastische Woche
Wir haben eine fantastische Woche in der Normandie verbracht. Das Haus ist super schƶn und hat einen tollen grossen Garten auf 2 Ebenen, ideal fĆ¼r Hundebesitzer wie uns. Die Anreise klappte perfekt, der Nachbar Michel der das vor Ort managed gibt auch gute Tipps fĆ¼r die Gegend. Der kleine Strand ist in 10 min zu erreichen, ideal, um dort abends noch ein GlƤschen Wein zu geniessen, denn man hat ihn praktisch fĆ¼r sich. Omaha Beach ist auch nicht weit, aber das Haus hat auch darĆ¼ber hinaus eine tolle Lage, man kann Zahlreiches von dort unternehmen. Im Nachbardorf Port en Bessin gibt es LebensmittelgeschƤfte und Restaurants. Wir kƶnnen das Haus sehr empfehlen, wir wĆ¼rden jedenfalls wiederkommen.

Traumhafter Urlaub
Die alte Schmiede wurde liebevoll restauriert und modernisiert. Es fehlte nichts: ein wunderschƶnes Haus mit verwunschenem Garten mitten im Ort und dabei fuƟlƤufig der lokale Strand erreichbar. Omaha Beach nur ca. 5min per Auto, d.h. beste Vorraussetzungen fĆ¼r Badeurlaub. Aber auch fĆ¼r kulturelle und historische AusflĆ¼ge ist der Ort ideal. Ein rundum perfekter Urlaub bei 2 Wochen Sonnenschein. Vielen Dank dafĆ¼r :-)

Sehr erholsam
Wir haben eine sehr erholsame Zeit in Sainte Honorine des Pertes verbracht. Die Unterkunft ist gemĆ¼tlich und gut ausgestattet. Aber vor allem der Garten war ein Highlight fĆ¼r uns. Hundesicher abgegrenzt, schƶn bepflanzt, mit Wiese, Hortensien, Lavendel, Himbeeen, Apfelbaum bot er viele schƶne PlƤtze fĆ¼r den Liegestuhl. Das Meer mit Strand und beeindruckenden Klippen ist nur einen Spaziergang entfernt. Ausflugsziele gibt es auch genug in der Region. Und jederzeit war Michel mit Rat und Tat zur UnterstĆ¼tzung bereit. Danke!
