Built in 1976, this Frank Lloyd Wright apprentice designed home is nestled in the rolling hills of the Wisconsin River valley on 30 acres of old hardwood forest and restored native prairie. Open floor plan living room, dining room and kitchen with soaring 18 foot ceilings, skylights and vintage wood stove. Sliding glass doors open to a 400 square foot deck suspended in the trees over looking the pond below. Recently remodeled kitchen and bathrooms. Kitchen with gas range, full size refrigerator, microwave, dish washer and stocked pantry. Outdoor gas grill. 2 bedrooms, each with a queen bed and full bath. spacious closets, linens and towels.
Half way between Spring Green and Dodgeville. Approximately 12 miles to American Players Theatre, downtown Spring Green and Frank Lloyd Wright's Taliesin. 50 miles to Madison.

Serene space for weekend getaway
Beautiful house and property, we enjoyed our stay here! The birdfeeder, fireplace and skylights were some of our favorites. The kitchen has everything you need - we utilized the grill and stove to make a few meals. The space worked well for 2 couples. I recommend this property if you’re looking for something in the area, and we would definitely choose to stay here again!

Really enjoyed our stay. This cabin is lovely! The house feels incredibly cozy, but was also designed to be practical. The attention to detail in the decor really made this one of my favorite VRBO stays yet.

Remote slice of paradise
This was our 3rd stay at Phyllis’ property and it, yet again, did not disappoint. The unique home with history and modern amenities is just perfect in its beautiful landscape. Phyllis is readily available if needed. Spring Green is the most charming little town with the most friendly people. Highly recommend.

The house is in a great location if you want to relax and get away from it all. Super cozy and the fireplace was perfect for fall evenings. The deck is huge and comfortable. Several varieties of birds at the feeder to watch made it even more relaxing.

Beautiful Weekend Stay
We have stayed here a few times and loved every second of it. The cabin is warm and cozy, the deck is perfect to sit out on in the morning with coffee and to watch the birds, or in the afternoon for some quiet time. It is a wonderful place to get away.

The most magical place we have ever stayed✨️
This beautiful cabin has all the feels! This honestly has been my favorite place we have ever stayed at. So cozy, very clean, a beautiful location Perched up on the hill.Gorgeous windows and doors that Overlook the beautiful scenery that surrounds you. Complete privacy! We love the fact that it had all of the cooking Essentials including a gas grill. We really enjoyed just being at the cabin and cooking. We loved the outdoor lights on the deck it really set the Ambiance at night. Close to everything we visited Taliesin and House on the Rock during our stay. Close to Governor Dodge State Park which is wonderful. We were able to bring our dogs which was so great and they even have a little walking path around the cabin . We are going to make this a yearly ritual to come to this gorgeous place. Thank you Phyllis for sharing your beautiful home with us it truly is magical.

Such a wonderful place to unplug
This is our second stay here at this fabulous cabin, and it's such a treat to see it during the beginning of fall when humidity drops but there are still warm temperatures. It's a wonderful place to unplug, and we hope to do just that again in the not too distant future. As other reviewers have mentioned, this home is bright, has comfortable beds, a fully equipped kitchen and outdoor grill, as well as a wonderful history. The only thing missing was a visit from Jeffrey, the adorable corgi. Thank you, Phyllis!

Great stay. Cozy, comfortable and beautiful. We kayaked 16 miles on the WI River Saturday to return home to your nature retreat. Grilled salmon for dinner and enjoyed music, wine and conversation by the fireplace. Thank you!

Lovely Spot
We used Phyllis’ home as a jumping off spot for biking, paddling, a visit to APT and short day trips. The roads in the Driftless area are perfect for road biking and we did several loops right from the house. It was wonderful to come home to such a gorgeous spot. We especially loved the beautiful deck. The house itself is well appointed and vey comfortable

Relaxing Oasis in the Driftless Region
We love this place & try to stay every summer. Being out in the remote woods and hills of the Driftless region is so relaxing. Not too far from Spring Green so that we can see all the shows at American Players Theatre. Nothing but the highest of recommendations!

A beautiful small house in a serene setting
The craftsmanship and tasteful decoration of this house put us completely at ease. One enjoyable aspect was sitting inside and watching the variety of birds who came to feast at the bird feeder hanging above the patio.
