Cozy & Coastal Cottage near East Beach *BHI Club available*

We are a family of six (two boys and two girls), who relocated to NC from Florida just over 15 years ago. We took several family beach trips when we first moved here, and never felt like the beaches compared to what we left in FL. That is, until we discovered BHI just a few years ago. We fell in love with the beauty and diversity of the island, and made it a goal to have a home here. Now we are excited to share this home with you...

Our home is perfect for families, couples, or even a get-away for just the guys/girls! It's conveniently located in the Maritime Forest, just minutes from Cape Fear Commons, the Conservancy, and the coveted East Beach. There is a relaxing outdoor spot to grill (one gas and one charcoal grill included) right in front of the house. There are two screened-in porches, one in the front and another in the back, where you can sit and relax, enjoying the sounds of the birds and the ocean breeze. The main living area has an updated kitchen , bar area, dining room, and a beautiful living room. Upstairs you will find two bedrooms, each with its own full bathroom. One bedroom has 1 queen bed and the other has 2 twins and 2 trundles. The community has a wooden boardwalk, which can be accessed from the back porch.

Also included are bed linens, bath towels, beach towels, basic toiletries, beach chairs/umbrella, and a new pack and play and high chair. Your rental also comes with two golf carts, both 4 seaters. A Lifestyle Bald Head Island Club membership is attached to this house, and guest passes can be purchased directly from the club. If you choose to purchase, your guest passes will include access to the golf course, resort pool, croquet & tennis courts, and restaurants.

We personally manage the rentals for our home, and enjoy developing a relationship with each renter. We are always available by text, phone, or email and have on-island support staff to handle any issues that may arise during your stay. We are confident that you will be more than pleased with our home, and we're sure you will fall in love with Bald Head Island, just as we have. We look forward to sharing our home with you!

We had a fabulous return visit to Chica Lodge and again felt right at home. The owners were amazingly responsive when we had a snag with a golf cart; they go above and beyond to make sure “vacay vibes” continue no matter what. The home is lovely, the owners are kind and helpful, and we will be back!

We loved the location of this cottage! Walking distance to several beach accesses. The house felt like home with everything we needed to cook meals and rest up for the next day or adventure! Charming Cottage
We loved our stay in this absolutely charming cottage! It is beautifully and comfortably furnished, with everything you could ever need for a lovely vacation. The location is great - quietly tucked in the woods for privacy, but easy to access all the island activities and sights. The hosts were very quick to respond to any questions and ensure our stay was flawless. We loved the dual porches for reading or enjoying a cup of coffee -- as well as the adirondack chairs for soaking up some sun. The beds are comfy and the kitchen well stocked. We hope to return and stay here again. This would be an ideal location for a family, or two couples to rest, relax and explore the beauties of Bald Head Island. And the bikes and golf carts are such a fun way to get around!!

We enjoyed this cozy property so much! It was perfect for our family of 4. They had all the essentials we needed, plus! This house was beautifully decorated and had 2 great screened in porches. The kitchen was well equipped and the bedrooms and bathrooms had extra bedding, towels and toiletries. We hope to be back soon and would rent this property again.

What a great place! So well equipped and updated. The 2 golf carts are tip top. The beach chairs the toys, someone even left sunscreen behind! Every thing is top of the line. There’s even beach towels available. The owners are so kind and responsive. Another beautiful stay on BHI! It’s never goodbye. Just see you soon!

Lovely beach cottage, great location!
We had everything we could possibly need in this cozy beach cottage! The hosts were super informative and seemed to really care that we had the best time. The island itself was lovely but the house was clean, comfortable, charming and well appointed! We will definitely be back to Bald Head Island and looking here to book again!

Another Perfect Week at Chica Lodge!
This was our second stay at Katherine and Jorge’s adorable cottage. The house is immaculate, has all the conveniences of home, and is set up perfectly for our family of three. We’re Access 42 lovers and the house is only a three minute cart ride away. Communication with the owners was excellent and they really have thought of everything you could possibly need. We’re looking forward to our 2024 stay!

Chica Lodge Is Perfect
My wife, our college age children, and I spent a week in Chica Lodge this July and it was everything you could ask for on BHI. It is one of the Surfman Walk properties, but the inside is unique, very tasteful, and extremely well set up. The kitchen was easy to use and the bedrooms were perfect with 2 trundle beds in one and a queen in the other. The location near East Beach was awesome because we love the better surf on that side of the island. My wife and I were just saying that it is probably going to be our go to place on Bald Head Island. It was a fantastic week!!

Mother's Day Beach Weekend
We really enjoyed the maritime woods location of this cute cottage in a well-designed enclave of similar cottages off of a boardwalk through the woods. We walked or biked to the lovely East Beach, very nearby. It's a really pretty part of the island. Hosts were helpful and wonderful to work with.

Peaceful stay
We had a wonderful time in this clean and comfortable home. The setting is quiet, amongst the trees and an easy golf cart ride to everything on the island. The kitchen had everything we needed. We took advantage of having groceries delivered as we were traveling close to dinner time and it worked out perfectly. We’ll definitely stay here again in the future.
