The Baldwin House with a Peach Floor is a Victorian house built in 1907. The house has been well maintained and still sports original beautiful woodwork, radiator heating, and a fabulous sleeping porch. The house has been in our family since 1968 and is family owned and operated now.
Furnishings in the house are eclectic with an artsy Victorian BoHo flair.
There are four full bedrooms, a sleeping porch, and a Victorian BoHo hippie pad on the third floor that is available to groups over six.
Hopefully you will be able to enjoy the large sleeping-porch off of Steph’s Room (weather permitting). There is one full beds on the sleeping-porch. Perfect for reading, telling stories, and just enjoying the weather, without being directly outside. The sleeping porch does not have climate control so keep that in mind when booking larger groups. Groups over 6 people can use the boho hippie pad.
Vaughn’s bedroom on the second floor sleeps two with a double bed, Steph’s room sleeps one with a single bed (The sleeping porch is off Steph’s room), Elizabeth’s Room is another single with a single bed, downstairs is Joe’s room which has a private bath and includes a queen bed. In total the house will sleep 11 people year round and 13 in fair weather.
The bedrooms are serviced by ac window units, not central air. The downstairs is cooled by a mini-split.
The kitchen is fully stocked and ready for you to cook and bake.
There are two tandem bicycle available that you are encouraged to use! Pedal around our little town and see all the sites, including the beautiful Baker University Campus.
You are free to use the brick patio, which is spacious and perfect for spring and fall dinning.
There is a charcoal grill available on the patio. The side yard is spacious and lovely for playing crochet or other yard games. Board games are plentiful in the house including; dominoes, Scrabble, Mensa games, various card games, Chinese checkers, marbles, words up, cribbage, backgammon, and pente.
