We stayed 2 nights in Room 1 which had a rattling A/C unit which ruined our sleep during a hot night on our first night. Also when we had dinner downstairs which was fantastic we were served by a staff member who really didn’t enjoy serving customers was so grumpy and disinterested but what we had to eat was fantastic and when we come again to Ballarat we may come back, if only for the food. Sadly car parking is first in first serve for hotel guests, which was inconvenient being that there was some doggy youths frequenting the area. Would be nice if the rooms had cereal bowls but as a bonus the showers are amazing and have double heads for couples. We wanted to share our thoughts of our stay but no staff attend to the reception early in the morning.

Oscars is an attractive property with a welcoming ambience. Staff provided a warm welcome and check-in was smooth. The room was very comfortable, clean, and with a lovely large spa bath. The bed was very comfortable indeed. A family celebration next day in the restaurant was superb: lovely atmosphere, delicious food, kind staff and the best birthday cake ever: a meringue roulade with crème anglaise and berries. I shall certainly stay at Oscar’s again.

Having eaten at Oscars before, and knowing the beautiful food and service it provides it was a good opportunity to try out their accommodation. No surprises the service and quality was equally great. The stay at Oscar's was amazing. You get to experience the heritage value of Ballarat while also enjoying luxury and comfort. I travelled solo and stayed for 2 nights - felt absolutely safe in this hotel. The restaurant also serves great food and drink options.

Even if i didn't stay at Oscar's I would have went for dinner or lunch. Table service by the staff is 5 * and a beautiful ambience without paying exorbitant price's. Do yourself a favour and stay a couple of nights.
