If you have business in Bangor or are passing through, I highly recommend the Bangor Inn and Suites. It has everything you need: Friendly staff, clean well equipped rooms, great breakfast buffet. It was also about $50/night cheaper than the national chains nearby. It's in a commercial area but that means it's handy to I-95, a mall and your favorite restaurant.

Only stayed one night after red eye flight. The man at the front desk was awesome. Seriously, it’s so nice to be treated with a welcoming personality after a long day of traveling. He was informative and helpful. There is a Applebees across the road and a few other places but we came in late and left early so don’t know a lot about the area.

What I didn't like was that I had been here for 2 nights and needed an extra night when I went to get the extra night I was informed that it would be an extra 40$ because of a concert on town. I was not attending this concert and had no option but to pay the extra as I needed a place to stay as a family member is in the hospital.
