Built circa 1872, Abendruh Cottage is a quintessential, historic Bar Harbor summer home, and one of Bar Harbor's first summer cottages. This charming home is located on a Albert Meadow just a stone's throw from the beautiful Shore Path and Frenchman's Bay, and is a block from the Village Green and bustling downtown Bar Harbor. The first floor of this airy, spacious cottage features a living room, a sitting room with gas fireplace, a study (with a sleep futon), a glorious formal dining room (seats 10), a large, modern chef's kitchen, kitchen table area with a farm table and gas fireplace, separate laundry room, and a 1/2 bathroom. There is also a lovely deck right off the kitchen, where the gas grill is located.
The second floor features a huge master king bedroom (with a twin daybed as well) and full bathroom (with small claw-foot tub and walk-in tiled shower). A large hall connects the queen bedroom, two single bedrooms, and another full bath with a long, old-fashioned bathtub. The back hallway leads to a bedroom with twin beds, another with a double bed, large back bathroom, (with tub and shower), and back stairs leading down to the laundry room/kitchen.
Amenities include internet TV (in study), DVD player, WIFI, dishwasher, washer/dryer, outdoor shower, two gas fireplaces, gas BBQ, and parking for up to 5 cars.
