Il Bacio
We recently stayed at Il Bacio for 7 days, and it was more than we could have imagined. We were warmly welcomed by Sonia, upon our arrival, and shown through our apartment. The apartment was lovely and had everything we needed for our stay. The views from the terrace were stunningly beautiful and we never tired of sitting there soaking up the surrounding vistas. Franco, Sonia and Giulia were the best hosts that anyone could ask for. They provided us with a wonderful list of sights to see and restaurants to try. Sonia mapped out a little drive for us that we took one day. They are a wonderful, welcoming family that will take great care of you while you are staying at their winery. Given the chance we would do a return trip here without hesitation. Thank you for the wonderful memories of Tuscany.

Breathtaking views
Il Bacio was a welcome stay after our week in Catania and Palermo. It was easy to find via google maps and exactly what we were looking for, peace and quiet. Beautiful views from every direction. Owners live on property so they were very helpful in recommending dinner places. Highly recommend Il Bacio for your stay, and the wine is delicious! I would only recommend if you purchase wine, grab the wine opener, there wasn’t one in the room.

Another fabulous stay!
We stayed at this property last year and just had another fabulous 2 weeks at this wonderful location. What a wonderful property! Franco and Sonia and their family are so warm and welcoming. And they were so helpful with planning and suggestions of places to visit. A big bonus is the wonderful wine they produce. We were running out of wine from our last shipment and sent more home! The whole experience was fantastic. The owners were great and provided a fantastic vacation for us. The property is beautiful and they gave us lots of ideas and places to go near by. The wine tasting was great. Highly recommend this as a great place to go for vacation.

Incredible views, friendly hosts, rustic charm
Absolutely beautiful views, extremely helpful and friendly hosts, and not far from Florence or Siena. It was sadly too cold in early May for the pool, but we spent a lot of time on the patio and by the pool reading, eating, drinking wine and marveling at the sunsets. I highly recommend that you ask the hosts for local restaurant recommendations! One of their recommendations was the best meal we had during our two weeks in Italy. Also, definitely ask the hosts to schedule a wine tasting, since it is also a vineyard. The only downside I can think of is that the shower gets cold fast, but that is part of the rustic charm. I would book this again!

Beautiful property, kind owners
We loved the farmhouse and the family here is so nice. The views are the stuff of dreams and our room just charming. We got in late and hungry from a long day of travel, and they were so kind to bring us some food to prepare in our room to save a drive into town. Only wish we could have stayed longer. We hope to come back one day. Highly recommend!

Extremely accommodating hosts with beautiful views and wine
Sonia and her family were exceptional, welcoming hosts with a stunning, Tuscan-charm property and delicious wine. When we were without a rental car on our first day (which we were advised to get as taxis are extremely limited), they were extremely accommodating--dropping off/picking us up at the bus stop and even ordering us a rental car to be sent to their home. Julia gave us the best restaurant recommendations, which were my favorite meals in Italy. Note: Internet works better outside. Grazie, Sonia and family!

There is so much to say about our experience at Il Bacio in Tavernelle Val di Pesa. Sonia, Franco and family are likely the most accommodating family in all of Tuscany. The farm is so spectacular and the wine from their privately owned organic vineyard is magnificent!!! It has been our favorite stop on our trip! If you’re looking for quiet and quaint in the most picturesque Italian countryside, Il Bacio is the place for you!!!

Fabulous welcome in a stunning location
We loved our stay here. From the moment we drove down the road full of vineyards towards their property we knew it was going to be a fantastic five days. As we parked up the views were stunning and we were greeted with big smiles and shown to our property. Our property was great. Perfect for the two of us and it had all the basics you need to self cater. The nearest town was a few km away so we typically ate something when out during the day and then at night stayed in enjoying the tranquility, the wine and fantastic views Location wise it was great. We had already stopped at Florence and Pisa but both could be done as day trips. There are loads of wonderful places close by. Volterra, Sam Gimignano etc but also lots you don't see in tour books. Just pick some names off a map! As for driving the roads in the area were stunning. I was a bit worried about possibly bad roads and Italian drivers being more impatient than us British but I've found the whole two weeks driving around tuscany as some of the best I've ever done. Just download the area on Google maps before arriving so you can use it if you have no signal!

Stay as long as you can!
We stayed in Aia for two nights - just a teaser of Il Bacio. The property is majestic - beautiful views, smells, and tastes. Make sure you take a walk around the property to try some figs and berries. The pool was in the cooler side but good for the hot summer temps. If you are interested in wine tasting, I would recommend communicating beforehand to make sure they can accommodate you, especially during harvest season. The wine is delicious!!!! The white especially good for the pool :) There is a market and restaurants within 10 minutes. Sonia and Giulia so kindly took grocery requests before our arrival. Hope to be back soon!!

Amazing place to stay
Sonja and Franco were so welcoming. The views are amazing. It is the perfect place to stay to get away from the busy touristy crowds. Sit back on your terrace and enjoy some wine with breath taking views of the Tuscan hills. Franco gave us some great tips on restaurants and other things to see outside the normal tourist sites. Paradise among the vineyards!
We stayed at Il Bacio for 12 days and enjoyed every minute we were there. Franco and Sonia went out of their way to make us feel at home in this Tuscan treasure. You will find yourself immersed in the simplicity of their lifestyle surrounded by friends and family with vineyards and olive trees everywhere you look. The central location makes this and ideal base for trips to Florence, the coast and exploring mediaval hilltop cities in the surrounding area as well as the many wineries that are in the Tuscan region. The property is absolutely beautiful has a lovely rustic charm to it. Stunning location on an organic vineyard in the heart of the Tuscan countryside - it was everything we hoped it would be! Perfect for sipping some great Chianti and watching the sun go down. The apartment had everything we needed including access to a great pool which we had mostly to ourselves. Great location in the countryside (about 40 mins drive from Florence/1 hour from Pisa) but within 5k of some great restaurants and a supermarket. Our stay really couldn’t have been any better and our hosts were wonderfully welcoming. We can’t wait to come back once our new arrival gets here! Sarah & John

Fantastic place to stay in Tuscany!
From the moment you walk in you will know booking was a good decision. The functioning winery property sits in a secluded micro-climate with postcard-perfect scenery amongst Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Chardonnay vineyards. The scenery is beautiful, the location is excellent, and the hosts are gracious. Il Bacio is a special place and we will definitely stay here again.

Wonderful, charming, and serene
Sonia and Franco were the greatest host. The cottage was spacious and the area serene. The grounds were manicured with lots of flowers. The views of the Vineyards and hillside were just breathtaking. My wife and I rented a car so we could take day trips to the surrounding towns and cities (you are only 30 minutes from Florence) so we could return each night and enjoy a home cooked meal (there is a market close by) and the swimming pool. Our trip took us through Spain, France and Italy. My wife and I both agree that Sonia and Franco's property was by far the perfect place to stay. We hope to return someday to spend our entire vacation at this property. There was so much more to see. Thank you again Sonia and Franco for letting us enjoy your property.

Beautiful winery located between Siena and Florence
The views from this place are phenomenal! In addition, the place is beautiful in itself. The owners have planted flowers, fruit trees, and herbs throughout. There is a pool which was surprisingly warmer than I thought it would be. It was too cold for this Floridian though when we were there so I didn't try it out beyond dipping a hand in it. There is no washer/dryer in the apartment but that was fine for us. It is a spacious place with a comfortable bed. There are stairs in the apartment up to the bedroom/bathroom. It is rustic and simple but perfect for a visit to this wine region. It can get cool in May as we found it to be as it is in the mountains. They had plenty of blankets for the bed though and we were comfortable at night. There is a private front patio with a table and chairs for outdoor eating. The unit has a dinner table inside too though. There is only a stove top- no oven. However, they have a microwave and a mini (think dorm sized) fridge. The owners gave us a lovely tour of their winery. We were limited due to rain in what we could see but it was still very informative. We learned a lot and enjoyed tasting some of their wines. A word of caution- google maps tends to send you on an insane dirt road to get there. It is hair-raisingly scary. You go around and around the mountains on VERY narrow dirt roads. We took this route and white knuckled it the whole way. Get directions from the owners and follow them instead.

Nothing Short of Amazing!
Il Bacio Farm was a wonderful experience. Franco and Sonia were great hosts and even better people. The view of the rolling hills and vineyards from atop their property was breathtakingly beautiful. The complimentary tour of the wine cellar, explanation of their wine making process, and of course the wine tasting (absolutely delicious) was a special experience. The location of the farm made it an ideal launching point to explore the Chianti region (we had a rental car, which I would recommend if you want to village hop). The only thing wrong was that we didn’t stay here long enough! Franco and Sonia, we hope to see you and your family again soon! Thank you for the memorable stay!

Nice and quiet
We enjoyed our stay at Il Bacio. Our accommodations were comfortable and authentic. Sonya and Franco were genuinely nice people. Their wine was the best we had during our trip. The location was a great jumping off point to visit the Chianti region. Tarvanelle Val di Pesa had a great supermarket and info centre. Sonia made a reservation for us at La Capaninna and we had a great meal there. Thanks for the good tip Sonia.
