Casa Pineta is nestled in a grove of pines at the heart of the Chianti Classico wine country, halfway between Florence and Siena.
Our swimming pool and wrap-around terrace are perfect for relaxing outside, while indoors the house sleeps 7 in spacious rooms (3 bedrooms with AC). Internet WiFi available.
Our pool table, ping pong table and newly remodeled kitchen make the house comfortable. The expansive moss lawn is completely enclosed, and the pool is surrounded by tall hedges, offering complete privacy.

In the nearest town of San Donato in Poggio there are great restaurants (including our own!) and a small supermarket.
Daytrips will allow you to discover the most important tuscan cities (Pisa, Lucca, Florence, Siena, Arezzo etcc).

Take the panoramic country roads and enjoy the views as you pass through charming small villages. The surrounding countryside is the Chianti Classico wine zone, a patchwork landscape of vineyards and olive groves.

It is an ideal spot for food and wine lovers, who can visit any number of world-class and small family-run wineries and excellent restaurants in the area.

The host family were very gracious and their restaurant amazing but the house had problems. One entry door would not lock, the host's son just shrugged. The house was clean but bugs getting in was a problem as doors didnt close flush. The web info needs to be changed. There was supposed to be a tub and a tv. No tv and they had redone the bathroom, picture that showed a tub turned into a shower. The check in and out were not as easy as you had to go to their restaurant where parking is tough instead of meeting at the house and the host had to come to the house at checkout so he could charge us for all the KW we used.All said, fix the webpage info for other renters and the house is fine.

Off the beaten path!!

The villa was a fantastic opportunity to get away from the hustle of city life. The local town was old world and friendly. The restaurant, La Toppa, was amazing. The owner of the restaurant & villa ands his family was very friendly, responsive and helpful. Wonderful stay in Tuscany.

Tuscan retreat

The villa was spacious, clean and well-supplied for my family. Luigi, our host, was always accessible, especially as the family owns a wonderful restaurant in town - which we also highly recommend. A car is a must, however.

Excellent location & home away from home

With just a short walk to town (San Donato), you have fantastic restaurants including La Toppa, bar and small supermarket. Everyone is welcoming and friendly. We really enjoyed dinner at La Toppa, fantastic food and the pizza restaurant in town was excellent too. It is a short drive to other villages, Siena approximately 30 minutes away. The house is homely and relaxing. We had a fantastic enjoyable relaxing stay.

Older but great location

Big house with recently updated bathrooms, great water pressure and showers. Nice period decor and privacy. Secure parking through gated area. Property was musty smelling and needed to be aired out before our arrival. Outdoor area, including furniture needed upkeep. Host was quick to respond to our needs and his family owns an excellent restaurant in town. The location is perfect for exploring Chianti.

Family Get Together in Tuscany

This property was exactly as advertised, perfectly equipped for six people. The location was great with easy access to Pisa, San Gimignano, Florence, Siena and Montepulciano. Luigi was a wonderful host, including a memorable evening at his La Toppa restaurant. Definitely a place to consider for a family vacation in Tuscany.

A wonderful stay!

This is a large, very comfortable house in a great location. It is in a quiet setting but a mere 5 minute trip to San Donato if you require anything. Luiggi and his family are wonderful hosts supplying information and assistance when asked and their restaurant, La Toppa’ was excellent. They made us feel very comfortable. In town the barista at ‘Bar Pieri’ makes the best coffee we’ve had anywhere and the prepared foods at ‘Macelleria Parti’ were delicious and very handy. I highly recommend La Casa Pineta and would definitely stay here again. Thanks Luiggi.

Amazing holiday in Tuscany

A wonderful villa, very clean, spacious and comfortable, the pool was amazing and everything exceeded our expectations. Luigi and Otello were great hosts and we enjoyed a lovely meal at their restaurant. Would definitely recommend this villa and if we ever return to Tuscany there is no doubt - we would return to this villa. Thanks for a brilliant week!

Great place to stay in a lovely area.

This property is in a great location for visiting some of the gems of Tuscany. Florence, Siena and Vinci can all be reached in less than an hour and we also enjoyed visiting the ‘in Chianti’ towns. The villa is clean, well equipped and there is plenty of room for six adults to stay comfortably. The pool area is lovely and a perfect place to relax after a day sightseeing or wine tasting. San Donato is a lovely little town and only about 10 to 15 minutes safe strole from the villa. There are a number of good bars and restaurants to visit there. We wouldn’t hesitate to visit Babereno Tavarnelle again!

Fabulous holiday

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay - great location with easy access to A1 so able to visit places such as Florence and Siena. The villa itself was lovely in a peaceful location with a great pool of which we made good use. Luigi responded very quickly to the couple of problems we had. We also enjoyed a great meal at his restaurant in the village so would definitely recommend that. All in all I have no hesitation in recommending this villa.

Magical week in Tuscany

The Villa Tavarnelle Val di Pesa was perfect for our group of 3 couples . The location is an ideal spot tucked away in the woods yet 5 minutes from the beautiful village of San Donato de Poggia. Day trips exploring Tuscany and its medieval mountain topped towns were easy to accomplish and The Villa is easy to find from the airport in Florence. For 6 days we explored new spots in Tuscany. The pool is the perfect way to refresh yourselves after a long day of exploration. It is long enough to swim laps. The owner Luigi speaks English well. He was very helpful and showed great concern for all of our needs. The beautiful home is larger than we anticipated. 3 very large bedrooms and 2 very large living rooms gave everyone a spot to relax. We did not cook but the small to medium sized kitchen is well stocked and one could do so. We chose to sit on the patio and enjoy wine, cheeses, delicate prosciutto, fresh fruit and fresh anchovies!!!! when we ate at the villa. There is also a small kitchen on the lower level .We ate 3 times at La Toppa Restaurant ...the family restaurant in town. As a vegetarian I really loved the garlic spaghetti. The rest of the group feasted upon thick steaks, rabbit, wild boar and all types of pastas. (I too tasted all the delicious meats!) We did not make a reservation but we were able to be seated at a lovely outdoor table with great service. Please call ahead to reserve a table as a courtesy to the family The restaurant is very popular. The staff speaks English as well. I would absolutely reccomend Villa Tavarnelle Val de Pesa to anyone and hope to return again.

Wonderfully quiet villa ideally located for day trips

Property is exactly as pictured, located five minutes from the A1 and a great location for all daily exploring. San Donato is a lovely little village with two fantastic restaurants (including the owner’s), a pizzeria, and both a grocery store and wine /market shop. It was unusually cool for May so we were happy to have the heaters in our bedrooms. Owner provides lots of nice towels and even pool towels. Luigi was a wonderful host and easy to communicate with via text.

A very comfortable place to stay while exploring the Tuscany region.

This house is completely equipped for giving you a home away from home. The House and grounds are representative of a Tuscan villa, and as a bonus there is the wonderful in-ground pool to relax by after each day's adventures. Owner's Otello and Luigi are great hosts, and they are also the proprietors of La Toppa Restaurant in nearby San Donato (a must to have dinner while there!). We highly recommend choosing this wonderful home as your base for exploring Tuscany... you won't want too leave!

Big compound and well equipped for comfortable stay

House is decorated with Victorian ornaments and homely feel that the family could relax, chill on the porch, enjoy the pool (weather permitting), snuggle in the living or playroom. Lots of space for everyone yet designed to do things together. The food served at LA Toppa (minutes away), owned by the house owner was very tasty and we enjoyed our meals there. Especially the Ossobuco. Yummy!

Our dream came true!

IF YOU INTEND ON VISITING THIS REGION, THIS IS THE PLACE TO STAY!!!! We cannot say enough about the villa and our hosts! The villa was spotless, authentic, comforting and had everything we wanted as our home-base. It's perfectly located 3 minutes from the village and to all major roads. What made our stay and our entire vacation extra special was being able to meet and talk with our host Luigi and his family! Always having time to talk and smile, he gave us great tips on where to go and how to get there. Dining at his restaurant, La Toppa, in the village was something I will never forget in my life- the food, the wine and most of all, the way he and his family treated us (and all customers)! Their sincerity, generosity and ability to create and serve food and wine is a form of art, not a business. We can only hope that we have the chance to return to this villa in the future!

Our holiday at San Donato in Poggio

It has been a fabulous holiday because Luigi, the restaurant staff and the connection of the old town made us feel very much part of the local community and not just tourists. The villa is in a great location to tour and see all the major sites but as important to us has been the realisation of a holiday dream that kept us going through many stressful weeks at work!
