It is a very poor maintenance property, the rooms are very dark and the carpets are smelly. I cans tell it was a nice property back in the day but the have let it down. I have stayed in the area every year I go to Barcelona and this has been my worse experience due to the hotel.

The chic&basic Habana Hoose is a lovely character hotel in an old building set around a small courtyard very close to Jaume 1 metro station and also central for a lot of attractions such as the cathedral and Las Ramblas. The staff are friendly and the rooms clean. The building is well looked after. This is not a large hotel with lots of facilities but is well worth considering if you want something different.

Out of all the European cities I have visited Barcelona might just be my favourite. If you are going to visit then I suggest the gothic district which is where Chic&basic Habana Hoose is located. It is the perfect location for dining, sightseeing, and just enjoying the Spanish ambiance. If I go back to Barcelona I will definitely be staying here again! It has got that cool trendy vibe that suits Barcelona perfectly.
