Great location, clean but a little noisy
Hostal Fernando is conveniently located in the Gothic Quarter two blocks from Las Ramblas. Our room was small but adequate. The premises were clean and the staff was very helpful. Everyone spoke very good English. The street outside is always busy with pedestrian traffic and some cars. The people were out quite late which made it more difficult to sleep off our jet lag. After the people went to bed the service trucks started coming to pick up garbage and make deliveries. The ventilation was subpar and the A/c fan was noisy. Breakfast was limited but tasty and sufficient. The location was great for meeting our tours and people watching.

Can’t beat the location
The hotel was reasonably priced, in a great location. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The rooms are basic (expected for the price) but clean. I would recommend this hotel for someone who is spending most their time out exploring and need convenience over luxury.

I cannot fault our stay. The hotel was very comfortable, neat and tidy and clean, and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfast was excellent too. The location couldn't have been better. We would definitely revisit. Excellent value.
