Location is excellent in downtown, within walking distance of Placa de Catalunya square where you can take a bus to and from the airport. Most other Barcelona attractions are also within walking distance. But the hotel is minimal with front desk staff only available from 10:00 to 18:00 and if you arrive late and going to stay one night even when you have paid for your room, they force you to go to their sister hotel, pay the city tax and get your keys there. This is okay as long as you don't carry a lot of luggage.

Lovely hotel. Near Barcelona university so a little noisy but room was nice and clean. Staff was wonderful. Metro was across the street and it was also very clean. Took metro to the farther away tours but walked to all the rest. Would stay there again next time in Barcelona

Had check in instructions emailed to me. However key was not where it wss supposed to be upon arrival. No sign at reception giving instructions. I eventually found a number to call had to go to hotel around the block to get key.

The hotel was what one would expect of a travellers hotel and as the name implies; basic. That said it worked for our needs and had great transportation and access to La Rambla. The hotel has rooms facing street and rear and if noise is a problem ask for a room in the rear.

great clean hotel in central city. i arrived as a late checkin, so got door codes and room key instructions well in advance. the old town is aprox 15min walk. plenty of tapas etc withing walking distance

Wonderful location. The front desk person was very friendly and helpful, but on site between 10am and 6pm only. Appreciated the free coffee and biscuits. Beautiful common area. My bathroom was not well maintained. The moldy shower curtain should be replaced. It made me cringe every time I entered the bathroom. I am not sure I will return to this property despite the central location, unless my preferred options are all sold out (which is what happened this time)

Excellent Barcelona Property on a Budget
Excellent location, super property. Bright, Mediterranean design. The owners have done an incredible job making a “basic” property with unique amenities ( lounge area inside & out, coffee station, patio). The bathrooms do need a remodel though, but I’m sure that will come soon. I would definitely stay hear again. Often times when you aren’t staying in full service properties it is a challengebevstse there isn’t a hotel staff always around for check in. The Lemon staff was excellent in communications with me.

Lovely hotel great location with good bus and train links. Several food options locally and a short walk from the main tourists spots! Staff were very nice and it was nice they kept our luggage on the last day so we could explore. Water and hot drinks provided which was great!
