The hotel is located centrally in the Gothic Quarter. It is a short walk up to the Cathedral Barcelona. Walking distance to many shops and dining options. The staff is very friendly and always available for anything you need any time of the day or night. The staff is the best I have had at any hotel. The taxi service is very quick to this hotel. I would highly recommend this hotel and we will be planning on staying here again.

Well-located Kimpton, be aware of small rooms

The hotel is conveniently located just a few mins walk from the the Rambla. It’s a Kimpton and has the Kimpton “shtick”—such as yoga mats in the room. The basic room is extremely small and the bathroom sink is in the room, not the bathroom. The closet is out visible in the room. There’s lots of mini bar items out visible in the room (not tucked away). I found all this distasteful but others may not mind. On the plus side, the staff were nice and accommodating. Rooms were extremely clean. And again, very convenient location.

Staying in the walkable center of the city is a very enriching experience, particularly when staying at a high level of service hotel. I had nothing more to wish for…except for a larger gym (it can only accommodate a few people).

Love it and highly recommended!

The stay was amazing! The hotel was very clean with great food and drinks from the rooftop bar and restaurant. They have social hour everyday but it was pity we couldn't get to try during to our itinerary. The hotel is very near the main shopping street, market and Barcelona Cathedral! Good place to serve as a base for Barcelona. Only downside is probably the uber not being able to drop us right outside the hotel but this was not Kimpton's issue at all. Just probably something to take note if you plan to bring many big luggage with you and for such case, I'm sure Kimpton has a way to assist if you check in with them. We will definitely stay there again when we are back in Barcelona!
