Get away to enjoy this comfortable cabin located in the shadow of Baring Mountain. Whether you are looking to explore the great outdoors or wanting a quiet escape, this is the place for you! Baring is in close reach being located just 1 hour from Seattle or Leavenworth, and less than 30 minutes from Steven’s Pass. The cabin includes a fire pit, full-kitchen, WiFi, two TV’s (with Roku), a wide selection of DVDs, games and more. Plus the cabin is just a short walk to the neighborhood river access.
Located in Baring within King County (just beyond the Snohomish County border) and just 23 miles from Steven’s Pass. The cabin is just a short 1 hour drive from Seattle or Leavenworth, making Baring a quick drive and perfect getaway in the Cascades.
This cabin was built in 1983. The spacious cabin totals 1340 square feet to comfortably fit 8 guests and was recently updated to include all the modern amenities you would want today. There are 2 bedrooms downstairs which include queen and king beds. The upstairs lofts includes 4 private twin beds, along with plenty of space for games or reading. The loft is accessed by a spiral staircase and there is a gate at the top of the stairs; however, we recommend sleeping age of 4+ in the loft. The bathroom downstairs includes a sink, toilet, and shower/tub combination. Towels and basic bathroom amenities are provided.
Our kitchen is fully prepared and ready for you to cook amazing meals. A range, pots, pans, utensils, Keurig with some provided K-cups, coffee pot, mini waffle maker, toaster, and more are all provided to ensure you are ready to cook a delicious meal. Just ask if you need anything specific, we likely have it!
If you are seeking a destination, but still need some work/life balance, there is a desk set up with a monitor for your use. The cabin includes Ziply fiber internet so you can still hop on those Zoom or Teams calls and fully embrace the remote working environment.
The home is heated with baseboard heat. During the cooler months, we also recommend you build a fire to keep things toasty. In the summer the home is cooled using a standup AC.
So many places to explore in the area, but there are great opportunities to explore the outdoors right at the cabin! Enjoy a fire with friends and family. Please keep fires small and within the rock barriers and abide by all fire bans in the summer. Note that we do not provide firewood during the summer months. There is also a disc golf basket located on the property, feel free to practice your midrange and putting game. Some discs available in the entry. Also, the neighborhood has a great access to the Skykomish River, just a few minutes walk from the cabin.
We are on community water and a septic system. Only natural waste and toilet paper can be flushed. So please remember to abide by these rules!
We are dog friendly for a $50 fee. You must tell us if you are bringing your dog. Please keep dogs off of furniture. Failure to do so or any other pet issues found will result in an additional $75 charge for extra cleaning.
By booking with us you waive all liability for personal injury and property loss. Do not use alcohol in excess and please exercise caution while at the cabin. Injuries are no fun for anyone and we want you to do nothing but enjoy your stay! There are absolutely no parties allowed and guests who break the house rules will lose their deposit, be evicted, and be immediately charged for any damages to the home. Simply treat the cabin with respect and you’ll have a wonderful stay.

Your access to the Cabin will be an electronic keypad - a code will be sent to you prior to your arrival. Once you are settled into the Cabin, feel free to explore the property or take a stroll down to the river.

The cabin is surrounded by wildlife so be aware of your surroundings and keep an eye on loved ones (both your human and/or fur babies).
Also, as the cabin is located in the mountains, periodic power outages and internet outages do occur. We provide plenty of wood for the winter months as well as board games, cards, flashlights, and lanterns to enjoy the unplugged time.
You will have access to many local adventures and attractions - skiing at Stevens Pass (22 miles), rock climbing in Index (7 miles), historic downtown Skykomish (8 miles), the Bavarian village of Leavenworth (58 miles), fishing or white water rafting in the Skykomish River, and numerous nearby biking and hiking trails.
You can access the river through a small community beach down the road.
