The property was minimally maintained. Who I am thinking was an owner/manager was not very responsive. The bathroom sink was clogged when we check-in. Requested the manager have it looked at. The following morning it was completely clogged and water was not flowing out at all. When I again requested it get looked at the manager said I’d have to wait till after 9:00 AM. I then asked for a plunger and cleared it myself. We will definitely not stay or recommend anyone stay there! I would hope Expedia review this property to continue to show it as viable options in Batavia NY.

Staff were very nice, however: the door had obviously been pried open at some point with damage around the lock mechanism. The lock plate was missing from the door jamb. Side doors to hotel would not close or lock. Bathroom smelled. Ground floor window opened even when locked. Carpet was sticky. Surfaces were dirty - smears and hand print on headboard. Towels were stained.

The hotel and rooms were dirty. Side door lock system was broken & door was permanently open - major security issue. Overall condition of the property was rundown and falling apart. Breakfast options were skimpy at best. Dining area tables, all of them, covered with crumbs from the day before. Heavy accumulations of dirt clearly visible in all corners. Only positive note - no bedbugs.

Handy location
Easy on off from Thruway. Desk staff are there 24/7 so great place when you need to check in late. They have a decent breakfast. Location is quiet, rooms along the back do not have much outside light bothering you at night. View is pleasant ehen you wake up.

We decided on Fairbridge to save money. Hotels next door such as Hampton Inn were twice the price at $200 a night. However, though the suite room was a generous size and we were upgraded to a room that included a Jacuzzi, we were told you can't use anything in the Jacuzzi such as soap or bubble bath, or we would face a $50 cleaning charge. The free breakfast was quite limited and the room did not include a telephone nor a coffee maker. For $120 nightly, it was expensive for what it was. Reasonable accomodation but we would prefer more value for money!

The toilet would not flush unless you removed back cover, had to have maintenance come fix it. The hallway smelled like cigarettes covered by perfume. The pressure in the shower was not great. When going to use the hairdryer it made a noise and started to smoke. All of which was reported to front desk. They offered another room but only staying 1 night so it was not worth moving.

Staff was nice enough on check in and out. But the rooms did not feel especially clean. Sheets and coverlets were stained on one bed, and my dog kept finding discarded wrappers and garbage under the beds. The hard floor in the part of the room with the beds was nice, seems easier to clean (theoretically). But the entry has an old, stained carpet and the bathroom old, dirty tiles. The toilet hadn’t been flushed - seemed to be just a bit of toilet paper, but still unnerving. Breakfast is supposed to be from 7-9, as confirmed by the person who checked me in. But by 7:45 there was not only no breakfast, there was no one at the desk (a sign at the desk said it would be unmanned between 9pm and 7am, so it would have made sense for someone to be there by then). Room keys scattered on desk from people who’d just given up and left. Tried again just after 8. People were sitting around waiting for breakfast. Some random guy came in and started playing his violin. Finally an employee (possibly the manager?) came out and acted shocked that there was no breakfast out at 8:05. Eventually some coffee and a couple bagels, fruit, and cereal came out. Not worth it tbh. The building as a whole is very rundown. Smells like smoke. Feels dirty. Seems to be run with the smallest amount of effort possible. Empty pool in the middle of summer (not that we went for the pool, just worth mentioning). As of July 2024 this place is in major need of an update. Do not recommend unless desperate.
