It was great for what I paid. There is a dance club close by and you can hear the music late at night. It did not bother me, but might for a light sleeper.

NO HOT WATER!!! Chemicals disgusting smell, very strong. Property was clean, but the smell was as at the chemical plant and I had severe headache in a result. Late check in. You are not allowed even 1 minute before 15.00. Doesn't worth its money.

Absolutely horrible place. The first night was fine but when I returned to the place in the afternoon I was locked out of my room and given the code to someone else’s room. The front door lock was ripped off the wall. My room was robbed and my money was stolen. When I tried to contact the hosts they stopped answering my phone calls. When I finally got ahold of them the following morning they said to call the police as there was nothing they could do “these things happen” they said. The worst experience. This is NOT a safe place. I filed a police report.

The door of the bathroom wasn't working like it should. There were empty bottles of pepsi under the bed. Holes in the blanket. All of the furniture was old and not comfortable

Property was okay, no elevator, bed was not comfortable, listing said the property had air conditioning but it did not, pillows were very thin. Not towels or bath mats in room on arrival, they did rectify this but took some time due to their being no front desk st this property

Staff in the property were helpful. Check in time is 3pm as per emails I received and the website however I was told when I got to the property by customer services that I had to wait to 4 to receive the code to check in which wasn’t ideal but ok. Then it was 4:30 and I had yet to receive a code so I rang again to be told actually it’ll be 5 before I could check in. Not acceptable as I already was going to be late for my plans. Luckily I found a local number in one email which put me through directly to someone at the property and this was sorted for 4:50. I then was given the wrong code for my room. And finally the blind for the skylight was useless so not a great sleep at all.

room infested with bed bugs
Booked two rooms for two nights for a business trip. Luckily we didn't stay in the rooms for long, as one room was infested with bed-bugs. Woke up after first night completely covered in bites (face, hands, legs, arms, back), which then prompted us to pull back the bedsheet only to find live bed-bugs crawling over the mattress, along with a lot of their waste... Stayed on the floor of the second room for the second night as couldn't find any bugs in that room...no staff on site to talk to and by then quite late with no available near-by hotels. Spoke to Hotels.com about the issue (provided a photo of one of the bugs on mattress, also have video of two crawling on surface of mattress along with their excrement), for which they phoned the hotel who replied that they are 'upholding their cancellation policy' and that no refund was available. The accommodation appears to be an ex student house or multiple occupancy, which has been converted to an unstaffed hotel. Had a couple outside our room on arrival arguing with staff on the phone as they couldn't access their room via pin-pad for around an hour, so not a very welcoming start. Had to fumigate our work vans and equipment as didn't want to bring the bed-bugs home with us as they can be incredibly destructive. This place needs to have pest control assess the entire property, as this is unacceptable.

At a first impression it seemed really good, until I opened the bed and saw that the bedsheets had stains and hair. A pillow, below the pillowcase, had what it seemed blood stains. The 2nd day, in the afternoon, I was in bed and a man walked in into my room to leave fresh towels. He didn't knock, he just opened it. Of course, after that the experience was not relaxing at all, as I didn't know who else had the code to open the door and when someone could just show up. Location is good, near botanic train station, and self check-in is convenient.
