Great for short term, hunters and small families.
Absolutely a treehouse and really cool concept. Definitely unique. Saw deer, some black bears. If you're looking for a quiet getaway, this is a great place to unplug and unwind and listen to silence. Couple negatives, fridge is downstairs(but it works so no complaints from me). Had to use a lighter to light the gas range, once again, works and no complaints from me. Maike made sure a couple of traveling workers felt at home and had what we needed. All around 5 stars for me. Be sure it suits your need is my only warning.

Liked but not loved
We did enjoy our stay however we felt a lil cheated. The first picture is not accurate. It shows what we thought was an outdoor kitchen area. There isnt such. It was just a regular 3 burner propane grill, no counter space like in the picture. The grill also did not have a full tank. We did really enjoy the river however you need water shoes its very rocky.

Needs tweaking
Plumbing was a challenge because couldn’t wash dishes without boiling water and didn’t want to wash ourselves or brush our teeth with the smelly water. Also, the propane only lasted 2 days; was dead on 3rd day (probably because of boiling water). We enjoyed the solitude, even though the road noise is present. All in all it was a pleasant couple days as we lucked out with beautiful weather.

Great craftmanship but too many problems
I really wanted to give a higher rating, but there were just too many issues. We were prepared for a more rustic experience as I had read the listing and previous reviews. And we knew the water would not be potable, but we couldn't even wash our hands in it as it was a dark brown color and the sulfur smell was very strong. There was a Dollar General nearby where we could stock up on more water. There was a very mild breeze the first night and we were all awake all night due to the very loud rattling and creaking noise from the windows. I could not open either door without a struggle and the propane cooking oven only worked intermittently. The craftmanship was great and the owner very responsive when we had questions.

Cute but with a catch
Stayed there for a weekend getaway. The shower is outside and doesn’t really have much privacy. The house leaks water when it rains past the tree holes… woke up with the floor flooded by the morning. Those same hole let in big and especially the cold, it was freezing inside the whole time, Also ran out of power by have a single like on for no more then an hour. Could flush the toilet, no water, no light nothing. The entry way/driveway is absolutes brutal with pot holes a ditches every few feet. It’s a cute place as long as your more open to almost camping then renting a house.

Personal and romantic
This is the perfect stay for simple people who just want to get away and connect to each other. There is a ladder to get to the higher level…. It’s a tree house people, it shouldn’t bother you. My wife and I stayed for 2 days in the early fall and loved every minute of it. Will do it again for sure!

We stayed as a family of four for two nights and used the treehouse as a base to visit nearby Letchworth State Park and further away Watkins Glen State Park. The treehouse is beautiful and really a great experience for our kids. They were so excited and said it was like staying in something from a Ghibli movie. It really is a magical place. The treehouse has electricity, a cooking stove and oven. It has hot water, including a shower. The host was very kind and clear in her communications. We highly recommend!

Unique Experience
The Tree House was an exciting experience that was unlike any other camping trip that we have taken. The cabin was the perfect size for the 3 of us and was very clean. My daughter loved the unique bunk beds and I enjoyed the outdoor shower and the deck at the top of the tree house. If you are looking for a rugged camping experience (with a bathroom!), this is the spot for you.

Great get away
Spent a couple days with my sons ages 9 and 3, they loved the treehouse and the surrounding property. The layout of the cabin was perfect for a couple adults and small children. It was a warm week so we were prepared with a battery operated fan to help keep cool at night. Everything else needed was on site. Terrific stay, looking forward to going back next year.

Awesomeness
The property was amazing. Absolutely beautiful craftsmanship of the treehouse. Extremely solid. Nice little walk through the the woods on a path to the Genesee river. Rained all day one of the days and we were able to sit comfortably and dry underneath the treehouse so still experienced the outdoors instead of being inside. Highly recommend.

Description is accurate. If you are looking for an off the grid, glamping experience, this is a great place to stay. The outdoor shower wasn’t as bad as I thought it might be but it was the end of May and pretty warm even at night.

Beautiful
We had a great stay for the weekend, the only complaint we had is the charge box started beeping after me an my husband had our phones charging for about 10-15 minutes and blinking red. After that we were unable to charge our phones at all. Which wasn’t a big dealbreaker we still enjoyed everything else. Finding the tree house was a little hard but the owners were super helpful and sweet. Any questions we had they were right there to offer help so it was great. The only thing we would recommend is bring your own supplies like shampoo, soap, hand soap, dish soap, a couple packs of water etc. it truly is a treehouse so don’t expect it to be extravagant modern home because it’s a beautiful treehouse. It’s camping just indoors. We should have been more prepared for sure but we still had a great time it was fun. Thank you again for opening your beautiful treehouse to us.

Incredible stay
We just got home after our stay with our daughters. We had such a wonderful relaxing time! We found the property matched exactly what the description was. The tree house was clean, cozy and one of a kind. We took our own drinking water, towels, food and coffee like suggested. We made food on the grill and used the fire pit (take your own camping chairs). The location was beautiful overlooking a field and just a short walk to a stony river front where we painted with our girls. We took board games and puzzles and books. It was so nice to unplug. The owner was very kind and great with communication if we needed anything at all. We look forward to our next stay at this dreamy location. Our girls are already asking to go back. PS The front door locks from the outside only so we just locked that door at night from the outside and then went in through the shower entrance and locked that door to feel secure. The upstairs loft was definitely warmer than the downstairs but we opened a couple windows and it evened out. There is a USB port for charging devices located behind the sink area.

Need camping equipment -no drinkable water, refrigeration, or electricity
You will be happier with your experience at this house if you bring equipment for camping and arrive during daylight hours. There is no potable (drinkable) water, no refrigeration, and no electricity. My son left within 15 minutes of arrival because he could not charge his cell phone. There is also little or no cell phone reception. There are no towels and little bedding on the bunk beds. There was bedding on a double bed in the open loft/attic area. The GPS will tell you that you have arrived at the address on the right (if heading south on State Route 19), but actually it is down a dirt road on the left directly across from the turn onto Route 17 (White Creek Road). I recommend that the owners provide GPS coordinates on a Google map link for locating this unit. We had no trouble driving over the few hundred yards of dirt road even though it had rained earlier in the day. We arrived after dark and after turning around a few times looking for this location. The lock box with the key is mounted on the house about 7 feet up. My husband had a flashlight and was tall enough to enter the 4 digit code and get the key. Plan to bring a step stool to access that if you are not a tall person. The door has no lock from the inside. A light switch on the wall did turn on a 5W bulb, but it slowly died over a ten minute period. Flushing the toilet caused an immediate lights-out. We ended up just going to bed since it was dark after brushing our teeth using a flashlight with some bottled water I had brought. The ladder to the open loft is a vertical attic ladder not suitable for older people with restricted motion. The bunk beds on the main floor are kids sized (approximately 5 feet in length) and come with only a pillow and a comforter – no sheets or blankets. We got a couple wool blankets out of the car to use for my daughter. There is a space heater installed in the house that runs on propane. (It required standing on furniture to adjust as the adjustment knob is on top of the unit.) We stayed in late September and did need to turn on the heat. We left the sliding door open to the room with the bunkbeds to get some heat in there. That room was comfortable at maybe 65-70, but the open loft with the double bed got up to 80-85 or so. Without electricity there is no fan to push the heat back down off the ceiling. Also, the door got very hot. Apparently when open it is too close to the space heater. There is a propane coffee pot that I couldn't figure out in th

My boyfriend and I stayed for the weekend. Absolutely loved the originality of this place. Who can say they stayed in a tree house?! The house was perfectly pictured. The road to the property was a tad hard to find but the property owners helped us with that. I can't say enough good things at home amazing and unique and secluded this place is. Definitely would recommend and come back!
