Summary:
Bellemarie is a rural farm property nestled atop the ridge in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland at Bellthorpe.
The property is 66 acres of rolling green hills and valleys - 36 acres cleared and 30 acres of rainforest and tallow wood forest just waiting to be explored.
The Space:
Accommodation consists of a 3-bedroom cottage ā king bed master with large television and ensuite, and 2 queen rooms. There is a luxurious main bathroom complete with a large bath and a shower with a view (fitted with 2-way glass so you can see out, but noone can see in)! The toilet is separate from the main bathroom, and an additional toilet is located in the laundry.
You will be able to enjoy your morning coffee sitting on one of two large decks either overlooking the rolling hills or gazing down towards the smaller of the dams on the property. If you like to cook then you will enjoy doing just that in this well-appointed farmhouse style kitchen sporting a chefās oven and 6 burner gas cooktop with rangehood, a microwave, farm sinks, dishwasher, and modern appliances. Of course, if barbequing is more your style there is a 4-burner gas bbq located undercover on the back deck.
Sink into the comfy leather lounge and wrap yourself in a soft blanket and spend the night binging your favourite sitcom on the 65 inch digital tv with access to several streaming services. Or if you prefer to switch off from the digital world, light the wood burning fireplace and play board games, card games or read a book. Of course, the comfy cowhide chair near the fireplace with itās own footstool and side table make the perfect place to relax and enjoy a glass of red or white.
There is an office space with full wifi connectivity to Starlink high speed internet for your laptop, should you absolutely have to log in to work to check your emails or attend a video meeting. Access is available to a front load washing machine, clothesline and drying racks should you need to do a quick load.
If relaxing outdoors and stargazing is more your style (and there are stars aplenty in the Bellthorpe night sky) then the fire pit area is made just for you. Next to the back patio and overlooking the top dam itās easy to sit and be mesmerised by the burning embers for hours on end.
Bellemarie has plenty of beautiful flora and fauna, both wild and domestic -if you enjoy bird watching, you will be in heaven. Thereās a chicken coop, and you are welcome to collect the eggs to cook your morning omelette if you wish. The coop has an automated door for the girls who love roaming about during the day, then put themselves back to bed at nighttime. Be aware though: theyāre particularly friendly! You can also cut and use fresh herbs from the kitchen herb garden, and pick and enjoy the citrus, cherry guavas, peaches and macadamias when theyāre in season.
Donāt be surprised if Fudge, Oreo, Eva and Francis come over to the fence to say hello. Theyāre Bellemarieās pet cows and love being spoiled by a hand feed. You might also get a visit from the local guinea fowl family and wild geese duo who, like the cows, enjoy being thrown a handful of oats as a treat.
The cottage offers a double carport right off the front patio for easy access to the front door.
If all this sounds like fun, then Bellemarie is the place for you. Whilst we fully understand that this sounds like the perfect setting to bring your furry friends to run around, we do not allow pets of any kind to be brought onto the property. Bellemarie is a Land For Wildlife registered space.

The Neighborhood:
Neighborhood description
If being more active is for you then there is plenty of property to explore. Put on your hiking boots or walking shoes and just go where your heart leads. Within the cleared landscape there are tracks weaving all over that take you up to one tree hill (a great place for a picnic), down to the birdlife moat and sanctuary with countless species of seasonal birdlife, over to the big pond (1.6 acre dam), down to where the wild geese like to play, and even one down to the platypus pond. If you wander down there at dawn or dusk and be patient, you might be lucky enough to see Percy, our resident platypus, come out from under the banks ā a true Aussie treat! Weāve even cleared around a fallen tree to make it into a nifty viewing seat. If youāre up for a more adventurous time you can always follow the path right up to the halfway fence line and gate and go through into the rainforest part of the property. This is mostly uncleared but will eventually lead you down to the creek and small waterfall and gives you that wonderful feeling of walking in the Avatar set. Look out for bandicoots, echidnas, and wallabies in amongst the trees. Itās always cooler up on the mountain, but if youāre up to it on a very hot day you can cool off in either of the dams.
Getting Around:
Bellemarie lies just 20 minutes southwest of Maleny, 34 minutes to Montville and in the opposite direction 18mins

You are welcome to explore the property, via the slashed walking tracks, and you can swim in the dams and creek if you wish to do so. However please be aware that you do so at your own risk, and you take full responsibility for your own and your family and friendsā safety.
