Property is run down, torn curtains visible in multiple rooms, carpets dirty, elevator floor dirty, cracked tiles unrepaired, sidewalks and curbs broken and unrepaired. Closet door wouldn’t stay shut in my room. I recommend avoiding this property.

Staff is very friendly. Room was very quiet and bed was comfortable. Room was dirty. Didn't look like it was vacuumed in a while, or maybe just vacuumed in the middle of the room. Refrigerator was dirty. Dirt piled in corners of the bathroom. Room had a bad odor. Toilet was dirty. Smoke detector falling off wall. Think layer of filth between bed and night stand.

Hotel was very dated, and could use a good cleaning. Our air conditioning did not cool very well, so when I asked to have maintenance look at it they offered to move us to another room. We were there for a funeral and our time was limited so we opted to put up with it for the couple of days we were staying. On the other hand the beds were extremely comfortable and all in all our stay was satisfactory.

Rough....
The place is rough....dirty carpets, damaged furniture and appliances, UNDERSTAFFED, overall i would Not consider this a safe place to stay. Wyndham should pull this place's franchise....the staff...1 or 2 most of the time Are trying....but you can tell the higher ups don't want to spend any money. Pass on this place ! Just a few examples of issues...rooms were supposed to be kings..they weren't....the toilet backed up Sunday morning, we notified and returned at 8, not fixed NO ONE to fix til 7am Monday...had to move room......broken living room table, shoddily recovered chair, broken microwave door, shower rod fell on wife, carpet in one room looked like a crime scene....and more....btw, couldn't add photos

The carpeting was very dirty or in poor condition throughout the hotel. The water was over-softened and had a very strange taste. The free breakfast bar was edible, barely.

Not good black mold on curtains and in the wall unit. Management was rude and don’t give her name. Wanted me to wait for house keeping to change curtains, but not clean wall unit. Once I went back down and said I was leaving and not staying our last night , I’m offered to change rooms. That should have been done first thing. Refused to give me refund bad place to stay don’t recommend.

We always stay at Hawthorne because we’re close to family in the area. The property itself has changed. Since ownership has changed hands. I have noticed some rooms are damaged. Curtains hanging off the rods, the toilets are stained, the carpet is loose. These are things that maintenance should be checking everyday. The breakfast choice is different every time we visit, which is nice. It’s like somethings been added. We don’t visit often but when we there always something different about the property.

The staff was excellent, if not for them the stay would have been terrible. The carpet in the room was stained and had a musty smell. The condition of the room was not the fault of the staff. Like I said the carpet smell and so badly stained.
