-Getting Here
Ben Lomond can be reached via the C401 Road from Launceston. The trip takes about 1 hour 20 minutes travel time from Launceston or 3.5 hours from Hobart via the Midlands Heritage Highway.
If you are using Maps or Satnavs, put in Upper Blessington and turn off onto Ben Lomond Road where the Ben Lomond signs indicate. The Alpine Village is located 18 kilometres up the unsealed road. The last seven kilometres of the road are subject to ice and snow through Winter months.
Park in the upper car park and make your way to the Ben Lomond Snow Sports building for check in.
-Parks Pass Required
A Tasmanian Parks and Wildlife Service pass is required for your vehicle to enter the Ben Lomond national park. Parks passes can be purchased online on the Tasmanian Parks and Wildlife website.
-Newly Renovated and Managed
The Creek Cabins are newly renovated and under new management by the team at Ben Lomond Snow Sports. Enjoy the brand new furnishings, appliances, kitchenette and services we offer. The Cabins are the first time in recent years public accommodation is available on Ben Lomond outside of the ski season.
-Internet and Phone Service
Free Wi-Fi is available in your cabin as well as at the Ben Lomond Snow Sports building. However mobile phone service coverage is very limited on Ben Lomond. Telstra customers can take advantage of a service repeater located in the Ben Lomond Snow Sports building and access network in and around the building.
A UHF radio will be located in your cabin to contact staff in emergencies only, this line will be monitored at all hours during your stay. Please keep the radio switched off when not in use to prevent battery drain and disturbances from other radio users.
-Remote Nature
The Ben Lomond Plateau is a remote area with limited services. The cabins run primarily off solar power, with a backup generator at the ready. Please be mindful of power consumption during your visit.
The Ben Lomond Snow Sports cafe is open from 9am-4:30pm on weekends and our dinner service is available from 6-8pm when pre-booked.
