I like that we were able to check in a bit early, but felt it prevented us from getting the upgrade I had requested. We saw some higher grade rooms remained available. There was on odor removing machine in our room that staff took care of but should have been removed before we got to our room. I was disappointed our rooms view was mostly blocked from the river. We could still relax and enjoy the sound but view was subpar. We loved the pool access. Would have used room service but not available. Should have been additional towels available in the room without having to ask. Our sliding door was very sticky. Loved hearing the birds in the mornings. Would have used a gas fireplace in the mornings but not the log provided. (that was apparently the odor in the room from the previous guests, tho it had dissappated.) A discount on restaurant should be offered for your overnight guests.

In the city but mountain and nature surrounds you.
This was a wonderful place to stay to be in the city area close, but feel as though you were in the mountains and nature! A beautiful stream runs through the property and both sides are accessed by a bridge with flowers. The rooms for families with children are great! The two bunks above two queens is brilliant! And the room is still large. The pools were enjoyed by grandkids and we even did smores one night. We normally like to book a place with a breakfast included, but felt there was more to do here and a breakfast is not a biggie for us.

This was such a great place for my family of 6 to stay! The rooms were cute, clean, quiet and well maintained! The environment felt very much like a wood-sy spa retreat. If we are ever back in Couer d'Alene, this will be our choice of lodging!

The sad part. River house has an excellent location. Looks great on the outside, inside the hotel rooms are outdated. The moment you enter the inside of the hotel lodging building your met with no elevators and the staircase had built up dirt on each step the hallways were equally dirty. The rooms had previously had animals with fleas. Went to the store for flea spray. Overall not at all what I expected. Very disappointed.

Great location and views, could do a bit better
Hotel is positioned on both banks of the rivet and we thoroughly enjoyed the views. Room was large, clean, and very comfortable. Sink drained very slowly and wifi wasn’t great. Smoke detector started beeping at 4am due to low battery. Pools are nice, outdoor lawn games like cornhole and giant Connect4 were fun, hot tub was literally the smallest one I’ve ever seen. Otherwise we were very happy with our stay and hotel amenities. 4 star service because housekeeping requests and restaurant was slow to respond. I wish they offered room service!

Quiet, welcoming cabin feel. Nicely laid out floor plan. I rarely used the air conditioner because the room was so well built and shaded. Swimming and jacuzzi indoor ameniti,es were good, plus outdoor pool ( August visit) staff wonderful and quickly responded to a few honey dos! I didnt see a USB port and the bed was worn on one side from people sitting and looking at the river i guess, so slanted down The food at the restaurant was wonderful. The river view and soothing sounds of nature at night were healing.

We sat in the patio for dinner. The view was amazing ! The hummus appetizer was very good. The wine list choices were ok, but our waitress, Jackie, was down right outstanding!!! Thank You

Pretty property, it would probably be worth upgrading to have a river view, otherwise you’d be looking at a parking lot like we were. It was pretty quiet unlike some other spots I’ve stayed. If you walk over the bridge they have at night there are a million gnats because of the lights. So avoid that and go during the day. Our shower was only warm for 1 minute before it got cold. The rooms were a decent size, and the beds were pretty comfortable. the AC units were loud, and the ways the doors were set up would cause them to slam shut when people left their rooms.

The hotel room smelled like urine. The carpet was coming up. The sliding glass doors were hard to open to air it out. Hotel staff showed me another room and it was just as dirty so i left. I just got done w 5 years of chemo and am going through surgical treatments so I cant get sick. I had to leave and Im still waiting on a refund. Pics were very deceiving.
