Look no further, way better than the Hampton Inn
This is the best value stay in Bennington. As a parent of a Bennington College student, we have stayed at several properties in the area, including this one before it was renovated. The rooms are bright and clean. The bed and linens were comfortable. The furniture is new. The TV is smart and you can get Netflix or other streaming services. The bathroom was a shower only, but it was brand new and the water pressure was great. The temperature in the room was comfortable, I think the heating cooling system is new. Coffee bar in the lobby a little lacking, kuerig, with hazelnut coffee mate, a plain choice would be great. Staff was amazingly kind and adequate. They are not on the property 100% of the time, but that is okay.

The room was very clean and bright. They are finishing up a renovation so only a portion of the hotel was open. It location is close to all the downtown attractions.

Pretty comfy.
The room was pretty comfortable. The mattress divine and the bedding and towels we're great. Low-key stylish, midcentury modern. We did have an issue with low water pressure in one of the bathrooms, which means the toilet wouldn't flush. So they moved us to another room.

Melinda did our check in and stayed a few extra moments to hand off our key. Which was extra nice as we didn’t know that there was no staff on site between 7 pm and 9 am and were arriving about 7 pm. She had great dinner suggestions as well. Overall a great experience.

Upscale affordable
Clean and comfortable room, comfortable bed and pillows and comforter, lamps with USB ports, microwave and mini fridge, hairdryer provided in the bathroom which also had heat lamps in the ceiling with a timer switch. Individual heating/cooling unit in the room. AndroidTV was available to use. The desk lobby closes at 8pm but they called me to coordinate my late check in process, leaving an envelope with my name taped to the lobby door. My room had a view to a tennis court and a swimming pool. Beautiful view of the Vermont hills from the parking lot in the morning!

It's not until you make the reservation and pay that a couple of days later you get an email, by the way....there is construction debris everywhere. When/if they get this property squared away it will be nice. Right now it's overpriced in my opinion. The individual behind the counter was nice enough but appearance wise didn't make a very good impression. He was unshaven, dressed like a slob and never got out of his chair.
