Everything was great! The only thing Iā€™d say that could be better is their policy against tattoos. Itā€™s understandable, but in 2024, theyā€™re losing out on a ton of business, and more moving forward, as tattoos become even more common, even amongst Japanese folks. Not that it really matters much to them; theyā€™re always full and are even expanding. Overall, though, a great (if not a bit spendy) place for a family vacation

This is really something to be experienced. It is new (2023) and massive - hundreds and hundreds of guests. It is a spa, first and foremost. The rooms are huge, quiet, and elegant; the numerous staff are efficient and multi-lingual. Hot springs in the building, hundreds of guests strolling about in hotel yukata, views of the peaks and ocean. The optional meals are definitely recommended - the food is fantastic and also it is a long hike to get down the mountain. Partner likened it to a luxury cruise ship on land.

Great resort hotel

Hotel seemed to run very efficiently, despite it being very busy. Lots of entertainment options on site. Top floor onsen in Sorakan is very nice and provides wonderful views of the city. Would recommend for a family trip, but probably not for a romantic trip.
