There is no front desk on site, you have to get your key in a bar next street, despite a parking on site and an «entrance » sign…
Also breakfast is served no later than 9:30 and rooms have to be returned by 10am (they accommodate 1or 2h extra)
Restaurant closes super early as well…
Bathroom was gross…
Bed had hair in it!…
Overall would def pay the extra bucks for an additional star!

After a shaky start as the building looked nothing like the picture on the internet until you drive around to the back of the building, and the reception in the bar which is at the front of the building all turned out to be perfect. The room was spotless, beds were comfortable, tub was deep and there was a cute balcony which we did not have the opportunity to use as it was a rainy day. We had a wonderful dinner in the cozy dining room. Steaks were the best we had had in a long time and we have never finished an entire plate of frites before. All in all it was a great place to stop.

Overnight stay

Pros: Location. Clean and roomy.
Cons: Reception by car park door.
Location: Pretty village. Fantastic lake with beach 3 minutes away in Sagnat. Perfect for swimming and has lifeguards. There is also a beach restaurant.
Room clean. no cupboards except wardrobe so be prepared to live out off your suitcase. Our dog was allowed but have to pay a small supplement. Breakfast satisfactory. Fantastic lake with beach 3 minutes away in Sagnat. Perfect for swimming and has lifeguards. Pretty village. Parking down a very very steep hill. You have to walk up the hill to the restaurant to book in. All access to hotel except door from car park (in which you have to get the code first) are closed

Cons: Quality of bed linen. Reception arrangements.
Location: Enjoyed exploring village using map provided by Information Centre
Fascinating old village but accommodation poor.Rooms were at back overlooking carpark.
Bed linen unacceptable. Pillows stained .Duvet old, torn and well worn. Staff changed these reluctantly when requested. Bathroom facilities reasonable. No reception desk. Booked in at table in the bar. Was more expensive than other 3 star hotels we used but was not worth that price.

Good place to stay
Posted 24 Apr. 2013 on HotelsThe staff are friendly and the rooms are spacious. The old towels and bedding in ultra modern rooms let down the overall feel. The wifi worked well and small terrace outside your room is a bonus. Breakfast is a bit expensive at 10 euro a head if you don't want to eat much.
