Luxury Devon holiday lodge situated close to Cornish border and beautiful sandy beaches, cliffs, coves, National Trust and other historic properties
Some of our favourites are Bude Canal which has excellent wheelchair and bike access, secluded Docton Mill Gardens and Tearooms, Speke Mouth with its spectacular waterfall, the beautiful Sandymouth to Bude 5km stretch of sandy beach at lower tides with magnificent cliffs and other rock formations and the wreck of the SS Belem, Clovelly with its steep lanes and harbour and of course all the inland attractions of Dartmoor, the Eden Project and the South coast secluded inlets.

This is our own family holiday residence (regret unsuitable for children under 7 years) and as such is fully equipped for a home-from-home experience.

Spacious bedrooms have accommodation for the largest of clothes collections. Beds are extremely comfortable and have white, high thread count cotton/organic cotton sheets laundered with hypoallergenic washing materials. Duvets all hypoallergenic, new 2021, incorporating Summer-Winter functions. Master bedroom bed has integral TV unit with remote control, other bedroom also has smaller TV.
There is a supply of towels, including some beach, please bring your own doggy towels!
Wetsuit hooks over full-size bath. Separate large shower unit, sink and toilet all within the one room, which doubles as the doggy drying and sleeping area (waterproof dog bed supplied)
There is, nature-watching, private fishing and lead-walking around a picturesque jointly-owned lake at the bottom of the site and there is also a footpath, although in wet weather it can be muddy. There are numerous forest tracks a short road walk away which remain dry for walking and cycling.
The property is kept as low allergen as possible, especially regerding cigarette residue of any type, but note that dogs will have been present.
We use mostly organic, low-environmental impact, perfume-free cleaning products.
Due to COVID 19 regulations we use a disinfectant on high-use surfaces in addition to the usual cleaners but this is non- perfumed and pet-friendly. Bleach is banned due to the reed-bed waste processing. Dogs are required to be on a lead on the site and owners to poop-scoop. They are free to roam the enclosed sundeck which surrounds most of the two sides of the building.
