Just 7 minutes from Ruffec and all its amenities, we welcome you to the outbuilding of our house, set in 3500m² of land. The cottage, which was fully restored at the end of 2021, shares a courtyard with the house. We've retained the charm of the old stonework and beams and equipped it with modern comforts. (fridge/freezer, hob, microwave, mini-oven, toaster, kettle).
The living area (approx. 25m²) has a large sofa, 2 armchairs, a coffee table, a linen cupboard and wardrobe in the lounge area and a high table and 4 high stools in the kitchen area. The bedroom has a 140 cm bed, a bedside table, a chair and 2 coat hooks. The shower room has a large walk-in shower, washbasin, WC and washing machine.
Bed linen, towels and pool towels are provided.
Linen is changed every week.
There is a private terrace, not overlooked by our house, equipped with a table, 4 chairs, a parasol and, in fine weather, 2 chiliennes, a barbecue and a clothes line. It overlooks the vegetable garden and surrounding countryside.
Private parking is also available in our courtyard.
From June to September, from 9am to 10pm, we share our private swimming pool with you.
For all stays of 1 week or more, you will be offered breakfast the day after your arrival.
A welcome gift will be reserved for you. (it will change with the seasons)
You will be welcomed by Catherine and Patrick, as well as by the animals in the house.
Crème, the dog, and Boudzan, the cat.
If you love the great outdoors, this is the cottage for you.
Less than 5 minutes' walk from the cottage, every Friday evening from June to September, Lucie (from Fest'Oyez) treats us to her organic crêpes. To eat in or take away.
There are many walks and cycle rides in the area.
There's also a canoe/kayak hire service close by, so you can take a leisurely stroll along the river.
Less than 10 minutes from the cottage, you can discover Ruffec and its pretty covered market, Verteuil sur Charente and its magnificent château, where you can find the honey of Jérémy Masset, a beekeeper in Bioussac (not far from the house) at the Sunday morning market. Nanteuil en Vallée and its abbey, where you can attend many cultural events, or go to the Chèvrerie chez Boye to watch the goats being milked and buy cheese direct from the producer to the consumer, or the International Photojournalism Festival in Barro, which takes place every year in September. La Vallée des Singes in Romagne (86) is 30 minutes away, Confolens and/or Angoulême (16) are 40 minutes away and the Futuroscope park near Poitiers (86) is 1 hour away.
